The other hockey powers are catching up and I think hockey Canada needs to rethink the way they pick these teams. Another factor is goaltending. Whether or not it's just a down cycle or something more, we've not had the type of goaltending that we now need at this level.

I didn't see a great game by the Canadian jr's I seen a great 3rd period. Its hard to believe they are all under 18.. The future is bright for Canadian hockey.. I agree we have to work on our goal-tending as a whole.If this the best we have were in trouble for the next few years..

Goaltending has been a issue since Carey Price....but in fairness to Fucale all the goals were power play goals.

It's rare that Canada brings under 18's to this tourny. We have a 2 this year Ekblad who is draft eligible this season and McDavid who is draft eligible in 2015.

How many players are in the NHL that are eligible for the junior team? I'm sure Rielly would have had a ball over there playing with the young kids, lol.

I want to say there is also one other kid that played last year that is still eligible but he's with an NHL team.

True enough but by the same token most of the other top teams have eligible players playing pro aswell.

 

Galchenyuk is 19 so he could have played for the USA team.

There are 10, 18/19 on NHL rosters may be more playing in the AHL.

Normally a ahl game wouldn't interest me but seeing the outdoor rink at the baseball diamond is worth at least a quick flip or 2 during the game.

Why would they make nazem available? they have him over a barrel for this season and next 2.9 is a steal, he could be getting 4mill maybe more if he were a free agent. I hope they don't trade him

Rumors are floating around Komarov wants to be back in a blue/white jersey. I'd happily accept!!!!

 

And don't trade Kadri, hopefully this is just a way to light a fire under his ass.
