Joey
Hahaha, thanks Rich, I'm paying for it now. Work SUCKED!!! I really do need at least 6 or 7 hours, only got 4 But I really think it was worth it. Half my problem was I couldn't sleep after as I was so happy my shots actually turned out not half bad, plus I had a chill by then and was freezing. I studied the camera book for about 3 hours before I went to bed, then got up at 2:30 and shot til 4:30.

Joey
Wonderful Joey. Especially #7. What settings did you decide to use? I saw your question on FB. Thanks Dan, I ended up getting the best shots with an exposure of between 1" and 1/250, my lowest aperature of 5.6 and my ISO at 800. Any lower ISO and it was pretty dark, any higher, too grainy (as you can see in some pics). I also turned off my mirror, set the image stabilizer to off, set the timer and then focused with auto focus, then switched that to manual focus and hit the timer and tried not to get my steamy breath from the cold in front of the lens Wow Joey, fantastic pics!!! What kind of cam do you have? I really wish I could've been awake to see that but your pics are awesome Hope you dont mind I saved some of them for use on my desk top Thanks Smarty Pantz, no problem, keep all the ones you want The camera is a Canon Rebel T2i that Paul bought for me this year. I'm really just starting to learn it so had to dig into the user guide for these shots. I also did a bit of research online before I set the camera. I'm impressed. Shooting the moon is not easy. I can't think of anything that I would have done differently. You're well on your way to a fantastic hobby. spincast
Just got a chance to see these Joey - NICE . I share your sleep requirements, and simply passed, knowing that some more dedicated peeps such as yourself would get some beauty shots. Looks like I know what the next camera upgrade around here will be....
