LucG Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) Hello everyone! Site looks great, can't wait to share and read fishing adventures. Went fishing on lake Nipissing last weekend. Once again we caught our limit in waleye. Boy have I been eating good these last few weeks....lol Also caught this huge sheephead, though I had hooked onto a Northern. Anyone else from the North Bay area fish Nippissing alot? Edited June 29, 2009 by LucG
Leecher Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Welcome to OFC LucG Looking forward to your futur reports! Nice looking sheephead BTW!!! Leechman
Roy Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Glad to have you aboard, Luc. Looking forward to reading your stories.
Rizzo Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 Welcome Luc. As you have likely read, we were also at Nipissing last week. I caught a sheephead just like that one on a "Nitro" which is a 5 ounce glider musky bait about 8 inches long. Thought I'd hooked a musky until the ol sheephead showed its ugly mug! They do put up a good fight at least!
LucG Posted June 29, 2009 Author Report Posted June 29, 2009 They do put on a fight. I got mine on a off white crankbait.
Bly Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 Welcome! Nice fish, haven't caught many sheepshead but enjoyed each one. Just returned from a great weekend on the West Arm of Nip....wish I could fish there more often, look forward to reading about your trips.
