It would be less damage than the exhaust from a boat going through the water. All the crap that runs through the storm drains go where? After sewage is treated with a lot nastier stuff than antifreeze where does it go? The water table. This is an old post but I think it is a very useful one. Well done. The beginning of November will be 9 months for me as well. I gained about 15 pounds. I went from 215 to 230. I feel great though, I can breath. Congrats and good luck.

If it is a 2 wheel drive you will want some weight in the back in the winter. Do not throw your money away on performance mods. You mentioned you do not have the money for insurance and gas so I suspect that you would not have the cash to do any mods. Keep the shiny side up, change the oil, and treat it good. That is all you need to do.

I like the way New York does it. I get my non resident online in minutes every year so I can enjoy both sides of the Niagara River. That being said, if you do not like the Ontario licencing fees Billy Bob you do not have to buy one. As for it being free before in the good old days I guess things changed in New York State as well because the last I heard you have to pay for them there and everywhere else now too. It not just us commie pinko northerners. just having some fun with ya man. :-)

I would also point out that before 2007 merc 4 strokes were manufactured by Yamaha. My 2006 merc 115 which I love is technically a yamaha. Not sure about the smaller sizes.

I have a 2006 mercury 115 4 stroke. 5 seasons of pure bliss. Not 1 problem. I have a 2003 mercury 9.9 kicker. The same. From what I can tell you can not go wrong with any of the manufacturers. They all seem to make a solid motor. Honda's seem a bit heavy though. I would not count out a 2 stroke either. Good luck
