Blizzaks rule. They are a snow ice tire. Way better than just normal snows. I have them on my Tundra in the winter. I barely ever need 4wd because of them. I have the Michelin ltx for summer. They stink in mud and snow, but are a great pavement tire with little road noise and lots of life.

Rice Lake Tourist Ass. seems to have a change of heart
Grimace replied to Ron's topic in General Discussion
Common misconception it may be, but it comes honest enough I believe. That lady who was or was not the official spokesperson for the association was mixing her own personal beliefs in with the associations when she was speaking to the papers and politicians. It is no wonder the message is mixed. The Rice Lake Tourist Association should have nipped that in the bud. Anyways it is nice to see things turning around up there. -

Well done sir. -
I have a laptop. I still like reading a book. I will not buy newsprint however, all my news reading is done on the computer and iPhone paper apps. Magazines as well. I read online magazines. I am not totally in the stone age. :-)

I still like the feeling of sitting in my big chair with a book in my hand. I do read alot on the web as well. You just can't throw your leg up and read your computer screen.

SLAMMER-tastic couple of days! Aug 11-13/2010
Grimace replied to diggyj's topic in General Discussion
So what did they give you? The t-shirt and a few free baits? Where are the bigger than average fish? Is that the only bait you used all week end? Are you using a different camera now? Your pictures do not boast the type of camera that they use to. -
Covering your boat during the winter
Grimace replied to TroutnMuskieHunter's topic in General Discussion
Looks great. Bounce sheets keep the critters out. Better than mothballs and smell nicer, Grab a package of bounce and tuck them everywhere in the boat at storage time. By doing this I have not had a mouse in 4 years. Cheers -
I feel the exact same way.

Awesome.

I still do not get the part where the mnr said and the judge agreed based on the evidence that he tried to cover it up by telling someone to hide the fish. That is why the fine is so big, the obstruction of justice. This is very surprising to me. I would not have made this guess in a 100 years. Not acceptable.

Picton man. http://www.thewhig.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2686112&auth= http://www.quintenews.com/2010/07/picton-area-man-fined-for-fishing-offences/ http://www.intelligencer.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2685610 http://countyweeklynews.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2688652 A B.C. man http://www.moosefm.com/cfbg/news/1467-man-fined-for-over-fishing-in-lake-of-bays A weird one with both by the same media as the above one. http://www.moosefm.com/cfbk/news/1731-man-fined-5500-for-breaking-anglers-law A B.C. man found out the hard way, it’s not a good idea to abuse Ontario’s fishing laws. Kevin Lavers of Picton had been fishing in Lake of Bays near Dorset on May 6, when he was fined for catching and keeping 6 lake trout. The legal limit is two per day. The next day, Lavers was caught and fined for the same offence. Lavers pleaded guilty and was fined over $5,000. News media like the whig, intellegincer can not assume. They are not allowed. There is no Picton in British Columbia. This is certainly strange.

Pretty much explains itself. I was more than a little bit surprised by who it was. Too many trout Posted By Intelligencer Staff Posted 13 days ago Over-fishing has landed a Picton-area man a hefty series of fines. Kevin Lavers has been fined a total of $5,500 after pleading guilty to several fishing offences in a Bracebridge court. Justice of the Peace Dennis D. White heard the case in the Ontario Court of Justice June 17. The court heard Lavers had been fishing on Lake of bays, near Dorset, May 6 and 7. Joint investigation by a Ministry of Natural Resources officer and the OPP found that Lavers caught and kept six lake trout on both days. This exceeds a sportfishing license, which allows a fisherman to catch and keep two lake trout per day. The limit for possession of lake trout is also two. During the investigation, the ministry says, Lavers asked another party to hide the fish he caught. The ministry reminds anglers to review the 2010 Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary — available through ServiceOntario/Government Information Centres, license issuers and ontario.ca/fishing — to confirm the number of fish they can catch and keep under their particular license. To report a natural resources violation, call 1-877-847-7667 or contact your local ministry officer. You can also call CrimeStoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). http://www.intelligencer.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2685610 http://www.quintenews.com/2010/07/picton-area-man-fined-for-fishing-offences/
