  1. OK, but you gotta put up with my MIL too. Hey..wheres a good lobster spot?
  2. Ya...ummmm..seems to have worked ok
  3. LOML decided she wanted to see Newfoundland. So, we jump on a plane tomorrow morning and go tour the rock for a week. I just figure on eating a whole bunch of lobsters. Somebody wanna take care of my boat while I'm gone?
  4. I dunno I put PP on my baitcaster for jigging whitefish in 80fow. Thats what the guys said to do. I like that fine. I put it on my new spincast outfit and I'm not thinking a lot of it. After 50 years of strictly trilene mono, its hard to change. I'm going to spool up some 8lb mono on the other spool just to be comfy again.
  5. Again...what plumber gets $60.00 an hour for wages
  6. Show me a plumber that gets $60 an hour. I have nothing against unions. If the company can survive wuith them then fine. I just don't think that the public should be held to ransom by them. The work has to be done and taxes can always be raised. All a public union has to do is go on strike and sooner or later they egt their way. Private industry isn't like that. If wer'e gonna pay the public service the big bucks, we should at least get the service and not the strikes. Same as teachers. None are starving so why should our kids miss school so they can get an extra 10 cents an hour. Let a mediator resolve it and outlaw government worker strikes.
  7. And an MPP has to work 6 years to get a full pension. Why do we give these guys a second term? Had to sneak this one in there
  8. I don't get any sick days, and I get nothing when I retire. Its just what the industry will take. If the money isn't there, who is going to pay it.
  9. How will being on strike make a difference. Let a mediator decide. Nobody is starving. PS...I smell a lock coming
  10. Kawarthas...up north...ha ha..thats rich
  11. I just got the Tierra. Only reeled a couple fish in on it but its like silk so far. I got it because the colour matched the G loomis I was putting it on
  12. Personally, I don't think government employees should be allowed to strike. None of them are starving. None are being treated unfairly. Ultimately is costs the taxpayer money. I feel like I'm being held for ransome. My wife is a nurse and has never been allowed to strike. They have always managed to settle a contract.
  13. Nice fish guys...I'll find em yet
  14. don't tell me....GM
  15. we do Anders great report I would love to get into some of them again I remember making a trip out to a rainbow pond with an uncle who was a logger in BC
  16. Do you get some good riding there?
  17. Sounds fishy to me. Thought you said this was non fishing
  18. Gotta love em. I have a Rage right now and figure on upgrading to something a bit quicker next year. 12,500 k in 3 seasons. As for on the road, I have a Toyota Tundra right now with the 5.7. We have a quiet club. When you see that 5.7 on it, you know that guy has a whole lot of get up an go. You don't realize till you own one just what they will do.
  19. My 98 had wires with connectors coming off of it that I could get power from. I could make lights work, but to be proper you need to buy some kind of voltage regulator. Dealer could tell you.
  20. Mocking a man that stands up for his country offends me. Even when his views do not match mine. He has still done what he considers right and his duty and I think it deserves a bit more respect.
  21. I just bought pretty close to the same boat. I'm looking at the differences, no trailer, motor, location, and taking a guess. I saw a deal on the same as what I got in North bay and I may have saved a bit, but I don't know exactly what the package was there. I think I did ok on mine, but I do like to buy local so sometimes I have to spend a few extra dollars. I'm in construction and don't like seeing out of town contractors here so I practice what I preach.
  22. I didn't read it that close. Any vehicle I wired from scratch was old, and any new ones I have were already wired, or you just bought a harness that plugged right into the vehicles wiring. Gotta love puters
  23. A bad ground stops you from getting power to the lights. It doesn't give you extra. As was said above, you have connected one wire to power. Figure out which one with a tester. Then disconnect it and put it in the right place. And why do you have to connect to the battery? Sounds like that is where the power is coming from
  24. I was working at a craphole place for comission selling gas fireplaces. A guy I had done some drafting for a while ago calls and says. I gotta go away for a month, wanna look after the place while I'm gone. Its a welding shop. I said, sure, whats it pay. He says, what do you want. I told him and he said OK. After the month I says, how can I keep this job. He said, find enough work to keep you busy. I started bidding jobs that came up, worked part time for a month, picked up a couple jobs. Next month will be 14 years there.
  25. Can't say as I agree with you BiteMe
