  9. Lessee I have an ultralight for specs and inland lake walleyes A medium spinning for big lake walleyes and pike (ewww Pike, but hey, ther'e incidental) A medium heavy baitcaster thats great for jigging whitefish, and when I go for bass A noodle rod for river bows. A rigger rod for salmon and a flyrod for bows pretty much covers my needs. I use a stick in winter

  13. 90% of the people on this board live within 100 miles of 10 million people. now, think about this. awww crap...he just posted my secret fishing spot, now everybody is gonna be there. Any fish in that neck of the woods is darned lucky to still be swimming, beat up as it is. CO's and C&R be darned I caught a Pike at Toronto Islands and now everybody is fishing there because Bob posted it on here. heck, fishing spots aren't even secrets up here. But that friggin worm dangler better not mention Rock Lake one more time or else Oh well, I learned to tie worm harnesses this weekend at least
  14. Nice fish Dangler. There are tons of good lakes up that way. Ever try Ward?
  15. For power I have used a 12 volt rechargable for years. about 2"x3"x6" and a couple pounds I have been fishing for a week straight and not had to charge it. I'm on my second right now. The first I used for about 10 years, winter and summer. I carry it in a little soft cooler bag to give some protection from bumps. http://www.pronto.com/mpm/compare/yuasa-np...v-7-10300544251 The charger is almost as much as the battery, but its still working on my second battery. For the transducer, I had it screwed to a piece of 1x2 and c clamped it to the transom. In the winter, you put the stick down the hole. Simple and cheap. Or you can clic on the link at the top of the page...duh

  17. As a new boat owner, I can't say i didn't learn nothing from those
  18. I remember we used to park just off the highway and climb down a rock bank and cast out from there. There was a park on the far side that we went to once. I seem to remember a waterwheel mill and stuff. I was only around 7 years old then.
  19. I guess that now I get to ask your favorite colour combinations. Blades, beads..come on, spill it. I'm doing chartruese beads, gold blade, and one red bead at the top.
  20. Thats cool guys. Just tied my first one. Its a tad short because I was just going to practice a snelled hook tie, then the second, and heck, why throw this out, its done now I'll just make a few leaders like tjsa says. Thanks a bunch. One question...why are the red hooks so important? Ummm Scooter, I'm 750km from the nearest BPS...kinda takes the time savings out of that part. But it gives me an idea to tie a bunch of just hooks and then put on what works at the time.
  21. Kelso still exists eh. I remember my dad taking us there to fish speckled trout 45 years ago. I really have no idea where it is either.
  22. Looks like a good lake to hit for big fish anyway
  23. Can you guys help with this. I have to make up a few walleye spinner rigs. Specifically a double hook worm harness type thing, for use with a bottom bouncer I have been told to make em about 30-36" long. What knots do I use for, first hook, secong hook, I will be tying a swivel on the end so thats easy enough. I'm using 15lb seaguar abrazx flourocorbon Thanks Dara
  24. I would never seal a driveway. If its so good, why doesn't the city seal the streets? Just like painting a pressure treated fence. Does no good, and when it peels, you gotta do it again or it looks like crap. it cuts into fishing time way too much
