  1. They told me that I Couldn't over rev mine too.And it had the right prop, thats why they checked the tach
  2. The tach could be wrong too, mine was. Check out the noise though.
  3. There is one up here on Big Basswood that the lodge owner has. He fishes off of it constantly. Lakers, whitefish. Everebody looks and says,,,Yeah,,,thats the way to go. Stand up, walk around, lawn chairs. Downriggers mounted on it. If I had a cottage to leave it at, I would get one. its just very tempting to take brewskies on it
  4. Public service ads eh I guess they have the statistics and know where the safety money should be spent
  5. You could cast a bunch of shorelines for Pike. You know, if you really need a "fix"
  6. That would generally be the power dam owners running an ad like that. but hey, we gave em away, so our tax dollars may as well go for this too
  7. Forgot to mention....the Bass fishery up here is fairly untouched. Chiblow has huge Bass
  8. Haven't fished that lake in a few years. It got netted for lakers pretty bad so we stopped. Bass are bass, bring what works. Don't forget the whitefish and lakers as well though. Go jigging deeper water with red and gold cleos. Lay a dead smelt on the bottom. lots of things to try
  9. I don't understand the point to it. Calm water, he had his lifejacket on, practically in town, and the OPP has to buy TV time to say they are going to bust him. How bout the seadoo add showing the boat going 50mph with nobody wearing a life jacket.
  10. Great trip thanks Archie. Newfoundland is a pretty neat place. Saw iceburgs, whales, eagles, the whole works. Gros Morne national park is amazing
  11. Linky http://www.ene.gov.on.ca/en/water/fishguide/guides.php It doesn't list walleye for Rock right now, but I remember reading years ago that they are pretty bad there. There are some old gold mines upstream..Havilah mine I believe. Stick to eating the smaller ones, if any. There are plenty other lakes to eat from
  12. I'm not sure what size boat you have, or how long you are going to stay, but I'm pretty sure you will be sorry if you don't bring the boat. And, if you bring the wife, and she doesn't fish, kiss her goodbye when you get here
  13. Alltogether now. QUADRAPALEGIC The people old enough to ride one of them, should also be old enough to know better. Up until now, i thought cigarettes were the only thing designed to kill you
  14. You can't keep Atlantics? oh crap
  15. Nice catch Archie..just remember...Rock Lake fish are fairly toxic. Don't be eating the big ones
  16. OK, I have one too. How come I have to double click the back button in this forum. Any other with even the same program, I only click once.
  17. Try going to Newfoundland where a non-resident has to hire a guide to go fishing
  18. Can't take em out though...as soon as you order a steak, you gots to listen to it...no thank you
  19. Just consider it a thread that gives you a deeper insight into the guys you are fishing with. I'm not saying any are right or wrong. You can read it or not, but if you do, you can sit and think. OK, I will fish with that guy, and that guy, I won't. It does reflect on the comunity as a whole. Shows wether we can discuss a topic other than fishing and offer opinions. Do we fight about differing opinions, or offer intelligently written opposing opinions. Sometimes we gotta talk about more than just fishing to get to know each other.
  20. Nice fish...but...we have the same boat, cept mine has a 60 on it.
  21. just leave some other clothes off to attract them to that area instead Not much works on them guys...not the tough ones anyway...just put your socks back on and live with it
  22. Where did you go...I need to know lobster and seafood places
  23. Lets you troll a long ways back and you get to reel em in longer
  24. Land in Deer Lake and grab a car, couple days in Gros Morne area, then to Twillingate for a couple days, TerraNova for a night, 2 days in StJohns
