Tough weekend to fish anywhere in S. Ontario. Fished Sturgeon from 0730 - 1900. Water temp 58F -> 62F 2 eyes over the slot, 1 under and 1 at 18". Sat afternoon was actually nice for a little while, the sun was out and the wind died down. Slow was the theme of the day.

Thanks for sharing, quite a story. Life jackets...

Shhhh.... they don't work! Owner TwistLock Center Pin 5/0, Original Zoom Horny Toad, colours are confusing, I stick with white or black.

I believe the plant was in construction 2008? Never knew what it was until now. It's fascinating, part of the structure is suspended off the ground, I wonder what purpose it serves? -
The few fish we Caught is a Chrome Shad lure you are very familiar with.

Very slow weekend for my group. A total of 4-5 walleyes, but the Pike was active in 60F. Lots of 7lb size, the big gators are probably roaming in open water. Lloyd, I saw U&Me trolling near Sherman's on Sunday. Probably working your infamous golden route in the area. The weeds are very low, the current is quite strong in some areas, the green mossy mung is a pain in the @$$ to fish through. I would wait another week or two if anyone wants to target weed edge residential eyes in big numbers.

Noodle was so last year, it's 'hot pot' now

Who's going this weekend from OFC? Tickets bought for Kiwanis, fingers crossed for double digit eyes In between Deseronto and Picton.
-
umbrella rig with a single treble crankbait, spinner bait and soft plastic.

Very nice toy, must've been a lot of Airmiles! Now you need just a few more EF-L series lens to complete the package.

Schools of pickereyes are all I see.

Nice video Will! I've been told, there are two types of edible Fiddlehead in Ontario. One type grow near the river and another in the hills. Can anyone clarify this?
-
Excellent event! If I wasn't busy this weekend, I would definitely be there. Only day in a year, when you are allowed to net fish without being fined.
-
+1 especially with the current sales for rod/reel trade-in coupon

Thanks for sharing, what's your go to rod for these fish?
-
I use the rod for Kawartha eyes in the spring and Quinte eyes in the fall. - ripping bucktails - jerkbait - lipless crank - slow retrieve swimbaits - weeded area for senko bass fishing

Thanks for sharing, nice pictures! That's an odd looking bucktail, I'm sure it was just a fluke that the lure caught so many fish.
-
the 783, a version heavier than the 782 has been my go to rod for many years!
