  1. Nice editing! What did you use for your main camera? Thanks for sharing.
  2. Thanks for sharing! The background/scenery is absolutely stunning!
  3. I saw you at work last Monday, I think your manager is an active member on this forum. I'm just kidding, or am I?
  4. Thank you for the update! Best of luck and be safe for all hardwater and softwater fishermen.
  5. Congrats David! You guys are the Bruce Lee of Quinte!
  6. Nice catch guys. 16.1 lb Giant That's one trophy fish! Good to see a working alternator belt
  7. Thanks everyone for the kind words! I can honestly say there was not a single trophy fish we caught that had a bladder problem, we never fished deeper than 30FOW. (Except for the small eaters at Thompson) Being versatile and switching tactics was key to our success. Most importantly, 2 rod zone is not always the best place to fish.
  8. Bay of Quinte in November means trophy walleye! This year with hopes to finally join the double digit club, I trolled for miles and jigged until frozen guides. Uncle Henry's driving had the best luck with eyes' Hot Tiger My dad spoiled with a 'smaller' fish Dad with the net Linc with a nice one on the LG Signature mods Shad shape was huge this year. Weather is great! Dark male Redeye' Shad Skinny and hungry, fat and still hungry! One of our many released fish. 10.7 10.1 Jigging PB 11.7 Trolling PB Tickle her a little before the release Until next year...
  9. Thanks for the read Cliff! 12lb->13lb->14lb->15lb! You owe me a new keyboard!
  10. Some new goals to consider for 2013 - spend less money on TW. - don't feed musky $25 jerkbaits
  11. sounds like the curse continues west coast!
  12. Nice photoshop Mike, trying to replace the background with BC postcards. "1st fish is from Ganny by the boat launch, 2nd is Wilmot, 3rd is Bowmanville" Can't trick me! You guys timed the trip perfectly! While we felt the effects of Hurricane Sandy, you guys had a trip of a lifetime! Thanks for sharing, truly an eyeopener for me!
  13. www.aurorabass.com Any guesses for the winning weight?
  14. During a cold front, it can be some of the best fishing. Its the post-cold front you need to worry about. "Got the Cold Front Blues?" By Justin Hoffman http://www.ontariofishing.net/news/nov2005-1.html
  15. you are right Will! Tittle changed. This is too good to be true. It is really interesting, I'm exploring ocean depth around Japan, harbor areas around Hong Kong, Honolulu in Hawaii, Red Sea, Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Caribbean Sea, and etc. Navionics really have a huge data base!
  16. Is it only me or is the Navionics main site giving free access to worldwide major marine charts? http://www.navionics.com/ Excellent detail for most of the lakes around me. (All Kawartha's, Great Lakes, Muskoka, Quinte and etc) I think this is a limited access/bug, or else how can I justify my PC App purchase? Take advantage of this while it lasts!
  17. Frabill's FXE bib. Try them on, you wont be disappointed, especially some of the unique designs. Zipper to inner shorts pocket, waist velcro to reduce stress from the suspenders and etc.
  18. Very nice of you! I'm gonna try guessing, Shakespeare ugly stick with a Shimano Sahara? did I win?
  19. Cold front conditions can be some of the best time for fish to feed, it's the post-cold front conditions that makes fish tight to structure and unaggresive.
  20. Any suggestions for worm hook binders? Store bought or DIY recommendations. The worm binders are usually oversize and the provided ziplock bags are not strong enough for my liking. Don't really like plastic boxes, for some reason I feel when the hook rattles in a box, it dulls the hook over time. - high durability - ease of use - strong divider - easy to sort through selection - high capacity but not too bulky I accidentally left my tackle bag outside last night and everything was soaked,I hate nothing more than rusty and expensive Owner's hook in a moist plastic packaging. These hooks will dry out no problem.
  21. 2 dozen worm, a dozen heavy sinker, and a couple pickeral rigs. Wait and secure your rod with a rope. Carp, channel cat, drum, sucker, white bass, largemouth, smallmouth, walleye with 'lip rings', Steelhead. I've caught them all at Dunnville
  22. I've tried both mono and fluro leader before, there's really no point if you are using it for line visibility issues. Some people claim a 3 foot section of leader helps to absorb shock, I think its just another extra knot to tie and potentially fail on you. Especially when you fish at night time with glow spoons, tie braid direct with a quality ball barrel cross-lock swivel. I retie my knot after each fish. My setup: 9'6-10' M-MH rod with fast tip 3000 Shimano Saros 200ish yards of 15lb PowerPro smaller diameter line will help you cast your spoon further and a 3000 size reel is not too heavy to cast repeatedly all night. I've yet to have a Salmon spool me *knock on wood ps. please bring your own net, try not to borrow other's
