  1. The picture might be small but the video works. Nice fish, gives me some hope for some day getting out there
  2. That musky is nicely coloured and a decent size! Nicely done on getting the PB.
  3. Great multi-species report Grant Hard to believe all those species are caught within that bustling smoggy city. Have been waiting for a report like this and Fidel's recently to get out there and give it a shot. That one brookie is huge for southern ontario streams. Kudos! Them walleyes and seeing a musky are a real surprise i would like to see personally one day. I think that larger salmonoid looking fish is an Atlantic..... No, it is probably a brown trout. Awesome report there Grant!
  4. Those pike aren't bad more than i have caught this year. Maybe you should go to Toronto harbourfront and try for pike and with your luck you will catch a very rare musky or big walleye there. lol
  5. Was thinking i would wait until someone posted a pike from there before going down to harbourfront. Nice job and you probably made the right decision going for pike instead. Maybe run into you again. Good stuff!
  6. Really, i did not know that. Never tried fishing these areas always stayed in the estuary parts later in the year anyways. Think that most people are still under the impression that it is CNR bridge south only as of Sept 30.
  7. So it seems that fishing for those species is permitted up to HWY 2 as opposed to CNR bridge south only, until Dec.31. That seems new to me and is a lot of open water especially on Duffins and Oshawa. When they changed the zoning i guess this changed as well
  8. That is a real nice brown trout there, probably a little larger than usual. I thought the reel was used as a frame of reference to judge the size of the fish as well, it works here.
  9. Very nice fish there. Congrats on the new PB Fishing the Kawarthas for musky is a blast. Thanks for posting this!
  10. After talking with a friend in provincial Liberal party a few years ago they explained how less than 1% of monies collected goes back into the ministry. So i wouldn't pay more, the money goes to big business or something. Since this is supposedly the final thread on Lake Ontario trib salmon, was curious of the difference between coho and chinooks. Apparently both are doing the same thing at this time of year, traveling upriver to spawn then die. Why is it that coho are caught with more esteem, are they not both inedible and deteriorating on the inside? I know the coho looks more chrome-like as opposed to an old black 'boot'.
  11. Not a bad day for the closer. That coho is a fine looking fish, congrats.
  12. Colonialism: The conquest continues....
  13. That is incredible! Extreme talent there. Reminds me of a Genesis song-"the sands of time are eroded by, the river of constant change." Thanks for drawing our attention to this
  14. This fish caught by Martin Williamson weighed around 61 lbs. Length originally was 53.5 inches Girth of 31.5 inches Smaller looking but heavier...you never know
  15. Two things that create further complications to your condition are temperature extremes and stress. I have learned this the hard way since i have the same disability. Having central air conditioning is a real key and getting this move done as smoothly as possible will help. Good luck with all this Paul!
  16. Great report as usual Cliff Hoping to see some of those monster walleyes you catch in next while or so... Good stuff as usual!
  17. What a great area you live by. Those are some very silvery salmon.
  18. Real amazing photos! Thanks for putting these close up pictures up.
  19. Great report and incredible pictures!
  20. Sorry to hear of your loss, taking him fishing so recently was a great thing.
  21. Most rivers within an hour or so of Toronto will be closed as of October 1st, with some exceptions close to river mouths of tributaries flowing into the Great Lakes. This will be the last weekend of fishing in most creeks and rivers around here.
  22. Looks like your going to learn about the ****storms up there. Lahey looks drunk as usual
  23. Seems the spots i fish were hammered more 20 years ago before the internet. But whatever,
  24. Thanks for sharing some of the beautiful things to be found in Ontario.
