I beleive there is no carp in Lake Simcoe ...................

They were to big to be bait , did i catch any fish today//// released arouund fifty , brought homw seventeen keepers .

When i headed across the bay out to the lake this morning shortly after five , there were fish jumping on top the water every where . First off i'am unable to tell you what kind they were as i don't know all the differant fish species and their habbits yet , but i ure would like to know which kind they were and if i should have stoped to fish them had i known . I figured since they were on the top i would need a top water bait to catch them and thats some thing i have none in my tackle box . Can some one enlighten me a little here , and thanks in advance

I had to catch a plane this morning at 4am for Atlanta and as i left my Motel room and on my way to the airport i could'nt help but notice how busy all the flower shops were , seemed like every one on the streets were carrying flowers , as i was in the line up waiting to board my plane i ask some one what all the fuss was with all the flowers this morning and the person told me it was because it was Mothers day today . Sitting in my seat i got to thinking about my mom back home and new she might be spending the day alone like i would be doing today, with my lap top turned on checking to see whats going on here at OFC i spotted this thread , Thanks to you Simon i am in my pickup truck with a boquet of rose's on the seat beside me on my way to my Moms to spend the day with her .

many times you'll see grass clippings get built up in there over time Lew , but who knows what it is ...... til ya find it ..lol

Reving up and down is usely covenner trouble , lift the pull cord cover off by taking out three bolts , check to see if some little critter did'nt make his home in there , check around the fly wheel and the plastic covenner rod to see if a nest is keeping the covenner from working .................

I like useing McGuirs , they have a full range of product compounds in a bottle that you can do with a rag by hand or with a buffer , all are numbered from 1 to 19 depending on how tuff the job is and very easy to use . But first Simon bring it over and will put boat and trailer up on the hoist and and give the hull a power wash with the hotsy

Don't quote me here but two leaft springs means you have a 2500lb axle and three means you have a 3500lb axle ............ or as long as your hubs have not been changed , a five bolt rim on a trailer means you have a 2500 lb axle and a six bolt rim means you have the 3500lb axle , maybe some one eles can conferm this .................................

This same thing came up on the board here not to long ago , not sure how handy you are ?? but the easy thing to do would be measure from the center of the leaf spring on the one side over to the leaf spring center on the other side , then go buy your self a new axle with brakes on it that measures the same leaf spring centers as your s that you have now , then put your old axle on kijiji for sale and get some of your money back . PS you should pick up four new U bolts while your at it .

I can help you out with that Paul , Over here where we fish we like to use two catchers mitts , one for each hand , the fish fit right in nicely espicially the big ones and it eliminates the need to bring the fish net along , plus it leaves us prepared at all times to catch those flying fish that we may encounter along the way as well , yup don't be a Hereo i say and bring your fish mitts ........................................... ............
