    I was out on the weekend looking for suckers... hooked into one but he broke off. They are starting to move in. Carp have always eluded me though, I've tried many things and still nothing to show for my efforts.

    I was wondering the same for the Whitby Harbour. Been down there probably 5 times in the last couple weeks... not even a hint of anything being in the water.

    I only target perch on Simcoe in the winter. In the summer they hit anything and everything. Minnows, worms, crawler harnesses, jigs (every single one I own), and some crankbaits. I had one hit a shallow diving crankbait nearly 2/3 its own size.

    I haven't. I would be interested in givin'r a go... but I just don't find myself in the hammer too often.

    Well, I planted 200,000 trees up north. Replanting all of the clear cut land. Does that count?

    How was the water conditions? Murky? Most the spots around here have been mighty muddy. Might get out to try a local creek... Maybe I'll finally hit my first trout... ...

    I've organized my tackle and set-up my rods. Now I'm just waiting for the suckers to roll into town. Maybe I'll try for some pike as well.
