  1. Dayumn! That's a solid catch right there, and a couple OFC members to boot! You got an extra seat? hahah, I've never caught a lake trout before... and I simply do not have the tools... like a boat, or a downrigger... or trout/salmon lures... Couldn't find them in the winter either. I probably don't have the know how, but I'm betting the fish didn't exist.
  2. Bass opener! Hell yeah! Went out twice, fishing wasn't exactly super exciting either day... but a few nice fish were landed. Which totally made my weekend. My little's bro's Largie... biggest of the weekend My Largie
  3. Cool video man, the bay was an "inhospitable wilderness of virgin forest and winding creeks" ... oh man... how things have changed hahaha
  4. I think your buddy has just won the contest. No point in even competing with that.
  5. Well... 1. Lassoed a White sucker... the line wrapped around the tail of the fish and the hook snagged the line. Landed it too. 2. Painted turtle 3. Water Snake 4. Caught a nice spinner, the lure, in some fast moving water 5. White sucker snagged in the butthole.
  6. Where is Seymour?? I live in Whitby and am boatless... I refer to myself as being young.
  7. You said no genitals... well... fair enough. The worst is when you're droppin a load and black flies swarm your arse. The chafing... the horrors.
  8. Rounded tail fin and colouring says pike. Striping says muskie. I'm gonna go with pike.
  9. From shore you say? At the mouths of the creeks/rivers?
  10. White Bass and White Perch are a couple of my bucketlist fish. Without a boat to hit lake ontario with... I'm probably outta luck.
  11. Congrats on the beauty fish! Gars are some beautiful prehistoric beasts... Definitely one of my bucket fish, along with bowfin.
  12. Thanks fellas, I'm gonna consult the brethren and figure it all oot. I'm thinkin' U and Me since it's quite close to home... and it had double recommendations haha.
  13. My brothers and I are planning on taking a fishing charter this summer... As of right now, not 100% sure of what species... so I'm guessing Lake Ontario for Salmon/Trouts or Lake Erie for Wallys. Can anyone recommend any charters for either? I'm leaning towards Salmon, since I can't really get out for salmon on a regular basis... but I can get out for walleyes... then again I hear Erie has some beastly walleyes. Decisions, decisions... Anyhow, any ideas are greatly appreciated.
  14. Thems some excellent gators man! It seems that something even bigger has been trying to eat a few them haha.
  15. Awesome! Thems some big dutty carps! That last one is one ugly lookin mirror carp. Congrats on the excellent weekend
  16. Someone was partaking in something that starts with "Reef...."
  17. Finesse Fan, you sent a pm? I seem to have not received it... weird... Resend it?
  18. Oops, forgot to mention a price... anywhere from $400-$700 I am willing to spend.
  19. I am in Whitby... just to clarify what "local" means.
  20. Hello folks, I'm interested in purchasing a cheap 10 or 12 ft aluminum boat... I have a motor for it already, so that part is outta the way. Any ideas of where to look? I've been perusing kijiji, but there isn't a lot there. Anyone know of any local marinas who'd sell used ones? Any information is appreciated.
  21. So... newbie question here... What are the differences between float reels and fly reels? And with float fishing, do you line it with regular fishing line or fly line?
  22. Nice catties man! Looks like a nice day at the water indeed. I gotta make my way to somewhere where there's channel cats so I can maybe hook into my first.
  23. Hey Chris, wanna tie some flies for me? As for which flies, I dunno... nymphs and maybe streamers? Smaller ones? Prices?
