Ok, I am setting up two tackle bags for pike and walleye. To my question, how do you store your steel/titanium leaders? also, what is the best way to store worm harnesses, so they don't tangle? Thanks in advance

When you purchase something at bass pro they usually ask for your home phone number, that how they get the address to send the flier to. OR go to customer service and they will add you to the flier system. Hope this helps

From what I understand, You have 2 years from the date of purchase. BUT, If you use it before the 2 years is up, then they give you 2 years again from the last use/purchase. Then so on. I don't think card expire anymore. To check if you card is still valid check here: https://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...p;addCards=true The value shown is in US funds.

Legal. The fish in that tank are farm raised, just like the trout and bass ponds. I can get a 12" bass for $6 farm raised any time of the year. Transportation is the easy part, you always get receipts at No Frills.

Thanks everyone, half way done.

If he shipped USPS the tracking number will show up in the system within 24hrs of receiving the package. If the person said it was in Canada and the tracking number is not found, it makes me think somethings up or the number is wrong. I get many packages a month shipped to me by USPS, UPS, FedEx and Royal mail and never had a mix up. It is true that USPS shipping takes a little longer, but no brokerage fee is a bonus, just taxes. Hope this works it's self out.

Thanks all, I will give it a go tomorrow. The bucket of water sounds like a good idea. Thanks again

I usually bring my spinning reel spool to a shop get fill them, but the collection got a little bigger and I don't want to wait in the store for a long time. So I decided to spool them myself. Is there a fast or easy way? Will these gadgets in the link below work well or just cause more headaches? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...017000_100-17-4 http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...017000_100-17-4 http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...017000_100-17-4 Thank you in advance

Big players are buying fishing line companies
bassjnkie replied to Garry2Rs's topic in General Discussion
I have tried the Suffix mono, Siege, Elite and the Camo, from float/Match fishing, to huge carp 30+lbs, to pike etc.... Their braid is really impressive, but I also like the PP. Between the PP and Suffix, they both perform well. -
You bring in a working reel, then they give you a coupon with no value on it. Depending on the value of the reel you are purchasing in a specific price category, and a certain amount is taken off anywhere from $5 - $100 depending on the new reel value. EDIT: The amount values will be on the site and in the flier before the show. hope this helps.

They are designed incorrectly, IMO. Back in the day they worked great, then they came out with the twist type that never turned off. They discontinued the twist type and brought back the push and pull. I always have problems with them, I called the company and they replaced them, out of the 10 that were replaced 2 worked. I would have to say buyer beware.

The Bass pro description says the Duracast is made for spinning reels. Has anyone tried it? Any good or bad reviews? Here is a like to it: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...017000_100-17-3

I mention a few time about the bass pond I like to fish starting April. It's not a secret location, so I will tell you all a little about it. The name is The Ponds, it is located on the corner of HWY 48 and Queensville SR. There are 2 trout ponds where fish can be caught from 1Lb to 12Lbs, it is not catch and release, the fish is paid per pound, at a great price. Now to the bass ponds, are catch and release only, at a low fee per day, there are 2 ponds that are not attached, with largemouth bass, any where from 1/4Lb up to 6Lbs, but average for us was 3.5Lb. The nice thing is you have to work the pond, stalk them etc... Some days we would catch 30, the next day 5, there is no guarantee. The bass in the ponds are not from lakes, they are hatchery bass. The number one baits are Senkos, crankbaits, tubes, spinners and rage frogs. The one thing the owner asks is not to bother the bedding bass in spawn season. Every year they have a police charity for kid, and Bob Izumi is there helping the kids catch fish, answering questions, signing autographs ect... Again the name of the place is The Ponds, located at the corner of HWY 48 and Queensville, in Keswick. When it opens for the season I will let everyone know. Note: The ponds are not connected to an body of water, stream, creek, flood plane etc... Oh, one more thing a license is not required. This is just a review for a good friend. Enjoy.

Americans call it a crappie pole, the British call it a whip. I have a hole bunch of them I use for carp. There are no eyes, but you attach an eye on the top section, then your line is tied directly to the eye. -
I had the 201 a little while back. But sold it to a newbie. That is one sale I really did regret. It was smooth, quiet, casts a mile, and had a wicked drag system. For your first baitcaster it's the way to go. I was actually thinking to pick up another one. BTW, I am a Daiwa guy. But Shimano reels are great.

I did some tourneys in the past. Not a pro at all. I always used my culling system and no it doesn't affect the fishes longevity, and the bonus is their easy to take out of the well. I talked to a lot of pros and they said bring a cooler of ice, so when the the live well water is warm, throw some ice in. That will cool down the water and help the bass from stress and eventually dieing. Hope this will help and good luck. Daniel

I like the Rapalas also. But my favorite is the Kershaw Clearwater II Fillet Knife. http://www.discountcutlery.net/en-us/dept_23733.html

I tested the Diawa caster for a week when it first came out. Smooth, quiet, cast and retrieves really well. and it's 7:1 + twitching bar bonus! For a starter reel in that price range you can't go wrong. For the rod, I can't help, sorry. Daniel

I have the glowing mini tubes. They are great IMO.

Need some advice on 2 combos. All thoughts are welcome.

I also have to agree with the above statements. It is good practice to flip the bail manually. -
I just have to add something here. Suggestions for any bait is not 100%. I use senkos a lot, but there are different sizes, colours and brands. What works for one person, doesn't mean it will work for you. The size of hook, the setup, the rod, the weight, will all affect you catch rate. Not everyone out there is using the same things, in the same conditions. All I am trying to say, don't spend a lot of money on wasted baits. Buy a few different baits that you think will work in area. I have so many bass baits, but I usually leave 3/4 of them at home. Hope this helps, Daniel
