  1. Love my '12 ram 1500 quad cab hemi... and this is coming from a mustang guy. I looked at all the trucks before making my decision.. and IMO a ram 1500 is the best bang for the buck in the used market. Gas mileage stinks, but who buys a truck to worry about gas? The 6.5' bed is great and no one ever sits in my back seat. Buy what you like, all cars/trucks/suvs/anything mechanical have problems.
  2. I say we do something about some of the drivers in Ontario before any new cell phone laws. There are simply way to many people out there who shouldn't be driving.
  3. Build my dream home in Northern Ontario Buy property in the GTA Buy cars, boats FISH!
  4. Ok, so I dinged up my 50 merc 2 stroke prop nicely this past weekend.. I've never bought a prop before.. my o/b has a 3 blade on it now. I'm assuming a 3 blade over 4 blade for speed.. the opposite to get up on plane quicker. Is this correct? I would like to buy a new one and get this one repaired and have as a spare. Where can I buy a new one before this weekend in the GTA? Also, is it worth it to spend the extra cash for stainless steel over aluminum?
  5. Would love to see how my 16.5 deep v would handle that
  6. Couldn't have said it better myself To add to all this, got my personal best smallie this weekend on balsam... on a bucktail jig. Do I deserve a fine or jail time? come on...
  7. I have yet to grow the nads needed to launch my boat at night.
  8. I got the last group 27 at the Costco on Dufferin here in Toronto a couple of weeks ago.
  9. Save your money and don't buy the Bass Pro Shops brand batteries. Costco 27 deep cycle = $100 BPS 27 deep cycle (non agm) = almost $200
  10. I get that, but have always heard that you shouldn't mix 2 different batteries. One of them is a couple of months older than the other. One is a costco brand the other a Mercury brand.
  11. I get on average 6 hours out of one.. what are the benefits to hooking them up parallel? 12v 50# minnkota powerdrive v2
  12. This is why I have two 27 series and alternate between the two. Edit: just realized this post is about a kayak.. my bad.
  13. Was in my garage looking around at the shelves to see if I could come up with something, this never crossed my mind. Thanks.
  14. Thanks for the offer but I was able to do it with a old spade bit and some wd40. Now if you had some 1" rubber grommets laying around I wouldn't mind taking one of your hands.. lol. I checked home depot/lowes but the biggest was 3/4. I'm thinking west marine. Anyone?
  15. I meant one of these I fear a spade bit will butcher it.
  16. Looking to drill a 3/4' hole in my boat to run some wires, will a standard irwin wood bit work or will I mangle the aluminum? Sharp edges are ok since it will be getting a gasket around it.
  17. Would love a couple of foam pads for my boat, pm if your serious about selling them.
  18. Minnkota 5/5/5 here, 2 deep cycles and a cranking battery. Love it.
  19. Just installed a minnkota 3 bank on board charger to try and avoid this happening to me. It was pricey that's for sure, but I love being able to come home, roll the boat into the garage and plug her in. All 3 batteries charging. I have read that it's kind of unnecessary to have the starting battery hooked up to a on board charger at all times, but peace of mind is nice. Good to hear it was just a battery.
  20. My boat came with a dealer installed Mercury (yep, the outboards) Precision group 27 deep cycle battery for my 50# 12 volt trolling motor but I can't seem to find any info online about these batteries. I see no amp hours labeled only 705 ca, 200 rc, 575 cca. This leads me to believe this is a cranking battery but it's clearly labeled 'deep cycle'. Anyone know the amp hours on this thing? Are these batteries any good? I ask because I just installed my on board charger and I want to know if I should add a second battery separately or parallel another one of these. It retails for $189 at the dealer.
  21. No one can. Well no one in the working class. But I'll gladly take my nice union pension+gov pension when I turn 65... Or um by the time I get there, 75.
  22. Union worker for 10 years here. High rise concrete forming. I'm 27. We make good money, yeah. I find it hilarious though when people say unions are ruining this country. This country was BUILT on immigrants and union workers. I'd like to see the kids that graduated from george brown/uoft/ryerson/whatever the **** try my job.
