  1. What a beast!!! I need to try shark fishing one day.
  2. Get yourself a lawnmower battery from walmart. I run my garmin echo500 which is a colour screen and my bilge pump all weekend. It weighs about 20-25 pounds, charge it ASAP after every use and your good to go. If it lasts you 2-3 seasons.. It did the job for $50
  3. 5 bomber squarebills for $10? Is BPS playing a trick on us?
  4. I have never used a okuma rod, but that one looks solid. Mercman has the right idea with what he said.
  5. So im doing something wrong then.. its weird tho, it only happens with my heddons. Is there anything I can add to a plano tray that might help absorb some moisture? Besides paper towels.
  6. Organized some stuff last night, thought I would resurrect a great thread. $10 adidas bag 12 trays plano 3620 I keep my soft plastics and sipinners in a worm binder. scared to count how much I have spent ;D I should be ok for tackle this season, maybe a few jig heads and some new frogs. I will be picking up a new spinning combo for sure.
  7. So I was organizing some tackle tonight and realized that quite a few of my heddon top waters (zara spook, jitterbug, hula popper) are rusted out at the hooks. Most of these were purchased last summer and saw the water a max of 5 times. Am I the only one having bad luck with heddon?
  8. I renewed mine online last year January and never received it. It's time to renew again, ill be doing it at crappy tire or bps this time.
  9. I went to both last year, but will skip the sportsman show this year.
  10. Thanks everyone for your reply's.. I will be doing my homework. The abu record seems to get great reviews.. How about using this reel as a musky/salmon pier combo?
  11. So I recently acquired a muskie rod from a friend of mine, a 6'9" rapala magnum. It isn't top of the line, but it is enough to get me started. I believe it retails for $69.99.. but that's besides the point. Anyways, muskie fishing is new to me and is something I really want to learn. I'm in the market for a muskie reel and have a seen a few on the bps website that have caught my eye. http://www.basspro.c...SSELL_THUMBNAIL http://www.basspro.c.../10205090/53500 Baitcasting isn't new to me, but using one of these big conventional reels is. What should I be looking for in a muskie reel? I would be both casting and trolling. I am looking for something in the market between $100-$200. Also, how would one of these reels work for salmon pier fishing in the fall? Any input is always appreciated
  12. Great videos, thanks for sharing.
  13. What brand?
  14. Has anyone ever used a line conditioner like braid-aid or ardent line butter? I have never tried any but from what I read online it seems that everyone is using some kind of conditioner. Opinions? Pros? Cons? Dont bother? Cheers
  15. Made it out twice and landed 1 fish.. total of about 4 hours.
  16. I'm sure they will, but the fact that I have to call in just to get it is stupid. They already have all my mailing info and my money. This was the first time I payed online, every other time I went to CT and always received it it 2-4 weeks later.
  17. What a joke, so what am I supposed to do? Not fish? I paid for my new license online feb 7 of this year and still haven't received it.
  18. No license needed for worms, I fed my reptiles from homegrown worms (superworms) when they were around. Not sure about minnows tho.
  19. I decided to do some shore fishing at Frenchmans Bay today.. fished from 2:30-4:00 using cranks and husky jerks. I went 1/1 and landed this guy..
  20. Welcome!
  21. Roy, sometimes change can be a good thing I wanted to try something new.
  22. What is everyone's opinion on this line? I started using braid with power pro and always enjoyed it and never had any troubles. This past weekend I picked up a spool of 20# in green and spooled it on my shimano chronarch. Although I haven't fished it yet, I've been casting a small 1/4oz weight in my backyard and it does cast great, better than the regular stuff. Except it looks to be like the line is almost unraveling in certain areas when its on the spool.. and when I say unraveling I mean the 8 strands of yarn are falling apart.. But when I stretch it out (pull out about 50 yards of line) and check it everything seems to be ok. Could it be I got a bad batch? Also, I found that it holds quite a bit of memory compared to any other braid I've used so I'm not so happy about that. Hopefully this stirs up some discussion on this product, haven't really found any decent reviews online.
  23. http://www.junkmyride.ca I got $250 for a old BEAT UP gmc safari and they picked it up.
  24. Oh and the offer ends tomorrow
