  1. Strangely, I was thinking the exact same thing. The last thing you want to see is a business going down and you certainly don't want to knock them, but wow, it looks like they were expecting a big $ season that never materialized. Considering the listed auction items are what's left after a few weeks of agressive selling, they seem a little "fat" for inventory. Not that I'm an expert in marine sales though. But where I work, I don't let our purchaser buy anything that not directly related to an existing customer purchase order without me signing off first. Times are too tough to carry overhead. IMHO
  2. I know I'm going to try it...I've been waiting for an excuse to replace that stark white, line twisting, guide wrapping braided crapola called Suffix. Did I mention guide wrapping??? Grrrrrr
  3. You've got one on my Dan but I'll no doubt catch up before the seasons over. I should tie a spare plug to the boat keys as a reminder. The issue with forgetting my plug is, the boat has to go back on the trailer to put it in...unless going for a swim is how I want to start off my day.
  4. All I see is a kids sandbox and a musky bait laying in the grass
  5. Tried beer pong?? from what I remember, its fun.
  6. How about "Muskie Kidding" LOL Forget it, save it for me. If you catch one musky you'll have one more than me!
  7. The fish don't know the difference. Sounds like a great boat and you'll have fun with it. Oh, and I have the same electronics on my boat! Next year I'll invest the $$ maybe $$$$ on a better unit.
  8. Oh man, I was hoping you could help us!! Welcome aboard!! You'll get good solid advice here Oryx.
  9. Thought I'd share last night's ride back to the boat ramp. Get out now and often...winter will be here quicker than we think!
  10. Last week I was so excited to go fishing I launched the boat without the plug! LOL That one inch hole sucks up water FAST. I'm standing on the bow watching my son park the truck thinking, Hmmm bilge is taking a while to get rid of a bit of left over water. That's about the time I remember the plug... luckily, I'm the only guy to ever forget the plug so you guys are safe
  11. I think they're very cool. Is it still fly fishing?
  12. Think about any Bill Dance show you've seen...now, have you even seen another boat, cottage, marina, shore fisherman, whatever on the same water? Come to think of it, I can't remember him even standing up in a boat. As for the link? really? it has to be designed weaker than your line. Hmmmm
  13. Terns for sure but have you seen the ospreys up there? There are quite a few in the Minnicog area...look for the giant stick nests.
  14. Watch Caddy Shack...all you need is an O'henry bar!
  15. Very interesting video Craig. Here's hoping it contributes to better control. Thanks for posting. Dave
  16. Good one. I have two sons, 20 and 22. Stay tuned Sam, its gets better!
  17. What about the launch right at the mouth ot the Notty? I beleive it's Jenetta St.. It used to be a free launch
  18. So much success! Congrats! Your restaurant, the food and those fish look amazing! Not to mention the scenery and rivers. That one pic showing the deep pool on the outside bend screams fishing. Have fun.
  19. I've only ever knew one lab named Chino. Thought it was a great handle for a chacolate.
  20. All great advice guys, thanks. We were using jerk baits and spinnerbaits which they didn't want to hit(one fish off a hardbait) but would run it down to the boat. Usually this works well if you quickly follow up with a tube or dropshot. Must have been an off day...short of live bait and a wacky rig, I tried most everything I had. But, still some good advice to try...wacky rigs, lighter line setup and weightless or near weightless presentations. I'll just have to go again until I get it right! Thanks guys...off to find wacky rigs...
  21. Oh come on, he wasn't even drunk. I read nothing about him trying to outrun them. Hey, I watch Cops, I know how it works That would have made the OJ Simpson and the white bronco chase look like formula 1!
  22. I'm looking for some pointers for enticing shallow water smallies on Erie. Last Friday my son and I managed about six fish including a 4+ but honestly had 50-70 more close to the boat staring at our baits. Fishing plastics, I finally had better luck dropping down to 1 1/4 pumpkinseed grubs...small and subtle. Any suggestions?
