It sure is hard to be a loyal fan but there are alternatives. You can do what some people do: 1) Cheer for a team that's 1000's of kilometers away, in a city you've never spent any time in. Tell everyone you've ALWAYS been a fan of them. 2) Pick a team you hate worse than your own and take out all your frustrations out on them. These seem to be very successful methods of dealing with what Dr. Phil would call "fan let down"

I don't care to see Kessel throwing hits. There are lots of able bodies on that team capable of playing much more physical and aren't #3 on the scoring list. Muddler, good points. It is not lost on anyone that the Leafs would be in a very different position right now if they were getting average goaltending thus far. Not bad goaltending, just average. Giving up 30-40 shots on net a game inherently puts all the responsibility on the goalie. Probably why the finger pointing now. All I expect from Reimer is to make the easy stops. Regardless of total number of shots on goal, odd man rushes or breakaways, he is still responsible for the soft goals. The rest of the team is responsible for ALL the rest. On a lighter note...Reimer reminds me of a kid we had playing goal on one of my son's teams. He used to drop into the butterfly about the time the puck would cross the blue line...sound familiar?? We used to joke about bungee cording him to the cross bar so he had to challenge the shooters and take away the top part of the net. The image of the kid dropping down and immediately getting fired up to his feet had all the coaches laughing!! I think I'll email Carlyle.

I lower the outboard and let it drain for a few minutes. Then I fire it up for 2-3 seconds max...you'll see water spitting out. This will make sure there's air in the system so the water will have room to expand when it freezes. Never a problem on a 200hp.

Muddler, the Bruins have won 10 straight because they're a good team playing really well. No argument. But watch out for the karma...choking out like last year and being one of the other 29 losers in the league gives you bragging right to NOTHING. I'd save the finger pointing until after they hoist the cup, which sure won't be this season! West = cup. My opinion on Reimer is the same as last year...Great on the flop, weak on the shot!

Jeremy, well put...X2 There is a huge difference between being a hockey fan versus a fan of hockey. I'm a fan of hockey. I'll watch any game that's on and get into it. When I start enjoying the losses of another team more than the wins of the Leafs, I'm done. Oh, and karma is real, ask MM.
