Hahaha???? Yeah, anyway. Back to our regularly scheduled program. Has anyone heard an update about Bernier? All I heard this morning was lower body.

It has to go both ways to be "banter" That was a very entertaining video! I've never seen it before. Does anyone know how many Bruins are going to the summer Olympics?

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's night game between Montreal and OttaWAAAAAH!!! It's a win / win game for me. If Montreal wins and Ottawa loses, AWESOME! If Ottawa wins and Montreal loses, AWESOME! I have no problem with Ottawa stealing two points from Montreal. Ottawa is a ZERO playoff threat.

I agree the Leafs are moving in the right direction but... I think we've set the bar too low given their previous years performances. Plus the fact they play in the east which is weaker this year than the west. Last nights game was a good indicator of what degree of improvement needs to happen before we're a serious contender for a trip to the big party. I'm not trying to be a party pooper, I'm thrilled with this years results, but if we BEAT the Sharks last night 6-2 we'd all be looking at this year's playoffs a little differently.

Great resource for Great Lakes anglers

That was my point and why I mentioned it here. I am aware that Transport Canada is not in the police boat. If they were, there wouldn't be a charge laid in the first place. I too would gladly head off to court. Maybe a loss for them there would make a difference for others later. -
HAHAHAHAHAHA I was wondering how long it would take you to crawl back out of your hole!!! BUHAHAHAHA When the Leafs started doing well you and your childish name calling disappeared faster than Ottawa on the win column! LMAO now! So go ahead, regurgitate all you old, worn out, tired phrases...we'll just sit back and enjoy OUR team while you growl. That "Started by muskymatt" makes me smile every time. THANKS Matt!!!!

It's great to see the Leafs doing so well this year. I find myself looking forward to the games way more and actually enjoying them. I'm just glad I didn't start a post online bashing another team only to have them do really well while my team absolutely tanked. That would be ultra embarrassing!!

Contact Transport Canada regarding the need for paper charts. I spoke to a Transport Canada officer last spring and asked the very question of the need for paper charts onboard. His response; The rules and regulations with regards to marine travel are controlled by Transport Canada. The police simply enforce them. There is no law stating you must have full paper charts onboard IF you have reasonable knowledge of the water you are on. In my case he said "If you are stopped out somewhere on Lake Erie and you can point the direction to Buffalo, Crystal Beach and say Lackawanna, you have shown reasonable knowledge. He then went on to tell me if I am every charged with not having paper charts, contact Transport Canada and they will step in on my behalf and contact the department of the charging officer. Also, if paper charts were mandatory, they would be listed in the must have safety equipment list for each vessel length ie fire extinguisher, life jackets, etc. -
How about Howie Meeker? He's is 90 years old and would still be better than George!

The Leafs are in a stuff spot with Bolland. Yes his trade value has dropped but without a long-term deal, he walks after the season. That is worse than lessened trade value. A deal involving guaranteed medical conditions is not unheard of. I hope he stays, but are the Leafs willing to go long term? He would probably qualify (I'd have to check) for a NT clause somewhere during his next contract as well. His injury has complicated the deal.

Bolland was and still may be on long-term injury reserve. If he's off, it happened only in the last couple days. The Leafs must have applied for cap relief knowing he'd be out long term plus they just put McLaren on waivers to free up cap space for Bolland. If the Leafs aren't willing to sign Bolland to a 5-7 year contract at about 5mil per year, good chance he gets traded today. He's UFA this season.

All very interesting point of views. So if the MNR goes out of their way to try to catch two guys, it's a waste of time and money. If they wait until there is a more highly populated group, they're cherry-picking and harassing. It just seems like everyone has an opinion on when, who, and how they should conduct their duties. Should they hide in the bush and scare the hell out of Terry? Heck no, but that's because it's Terry and we all know Terry's a stand up guy. But if we read in the paper that they busted a couple guys with 100 walleye and they hid in the bush and scared the crap out of them, we'd all applause and suggest they do worse to them. All I'm saying is I think it's dead easy to reflect and criticize after the fact. After we know the outcome. I had a day last year when I got stopped 3 times on the Upper Niagara. Once by the MNR with a OPP officer on board, once by marine unit police on seadoos and once by the US Marshall. All three were pleasant and no warning or infractions. I have zero issue with being stopped. I just think that with that kind of due diligence, that day someone is going to get caught poaching, or drunk driving, or without proper safety equipment. Go get 'em.

Word is Kessler wants to go to a US team. I'm ok with that, he's not what the Leafs need.

Don't you love it when you do go around that left lane camper and they speed up so you can't get in? I have zero tolerance for that. I signal, and go.

Yamaha outboard service Brantford ares Recomendations?

I don't get out your way very often but I'll PM you next time I do. I would do it and show you how at the same time. We could cover plugs, steering, water pump and winterizing too. When did you want to do it? -
Maybe someone can clarify for me... If the MNR came by and he had a 4 lbr on ice, and there is a one fish limit, and you can't give it away....Why was he still fishing and why didn't that come up in their conversation? If he kept fishing to catch another species, then he knew he was done with lake trout for the day. I must be missing something.

Big O's don't work....you have to spend $25 on a hand-painted Japanese crankbait to catch bass.

The slumping Canadian dollar should bode well for retail sales at home. Unfortunately, they bump the prices up quickly citing foreign exchange whereas back when the dollar went par, it took a year and a bunch of consumer complaining to get pricing corrected. Kind of like gas prices...when the price of oil goes up, that somehow changes the price of the gas already delivered to a gas station a few days before.

What's the craziest bait you've ever used to fish with?
grimsbylander replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
I once caught a bass out of a boat with a TILLER!!! LOL When I was a kid we used to fish the tiny blue line creeks for specks. When we ran out of worms, we'd sit at the little pools that were covered with the white foam and wriggle your finger in it. The little specks would grabat your finger and we'd try to catch them. haha I can't remember ever being successful but I can remember when a 10" speck would nail our fingers and scare the living daylights out of us! -
Reaction Innovations - Kinky Beaver or Sweet Beaver. Any combination of black, blue or red works great. Pumpkinseed or greens in clear water.

Wouldn't be my first choice as a recreational vehicle but as a working machine it would be handy. It would drag a moose/deer out nicely, but I guess so does a quad.
