  1. Hey guys, I'm hoping some one in the know could provide some insight for me... I am having to replace the deck boards on my deck at home... unfortunately because of the design of the deck, I will need 6 2x6x18ft boards to properly repair the damage time and weather has put on it. Does anyone know where I could source such lumber? Thanks for your consideration! HH
  2. To the OP... next time that happens, grab a stick and wave it in front of the Turtles face. It will grab the stick and hold on, as long as you hold on to the stick... that will free up your other hand to remove the hook. HH
  3. Call Buttonville airport and they can direct you. HH
  4. Sheer numbers are the cause and with numbers comes thoughs who are either negligent, un-informed or careless... whether you are north or not, the only difference I can see is volume... HH
  5. Did he stop you to do a safety check? It's pretty easy to take swipes at folks in the south who have to deal with this sort of thing on a regular basis... when you live in an area that has little guardianship... you can't compare it to where we live and fish. Butif you feel that you need to take that kind of shot, fill yer boots! HH
  6. Great news Wayne! I know there was some concern regarding the nerve and use of her leg... this news couldn't be better... so now it seems as though it's soon gonna be time for EVERYONE of you to get some down time and healing time... I hope that is comes quickly and easily to all of you... positive thoughts heading up University Ave for you guys! HH
  7. If being stopped on the water was about safety, there are easier and faster, more cost efficient ways of doing so... Why not have the authorities posted at launch sites. Have you and your boat checked before you hit the water. Should you have all the required equipment, your boat gets a sticker that is good for the season. They could still patrol but they would not have to pull up to anyone, who has the sticker. Kinda makes a ton of sense, doesn't it! But that won't happen because they are not out there to ensure we have all required equipment... they are out there to generate revenue. Should you think differently, perhaps you should reconsider. HH

  9. Nice job Emil... thanks for posting. HH
  10. Just run a line of marshmellows from the dried up creek, to the open water... they'll drag themselves there, whilst enjoying one of their favorite meals. HH
  11. I certainly didn't forget Matts! He was a skill player, but not a marquee player in that he did not take advantage of his position in this market, outside of his on ice performance... and that was the point of my post. The last Leaf to take advantage of all that this hockey mecca can offer was Gilmour... A true marquee player will have the team following him and will grab any and all endorsement money available... who do the Leafs have that could pull that off? Kessel would rather not speak to anyone, much less take endorsement money and have to actually interact with the public... All I'm saying is that there is an opportunity here that no one is either considering or taking advantage of... and the dollars available are staggering! HH
  12. To serve and collect revenue... should be in bold letters across the side of their boats! HH
  13. You know Doc, you're exactly right. But here is the real head scratcher for me... Toronto is arguably the centre of the hockey universe. This market has not had a marquee player since Gilmour... and what I mean by that is the following... Hockey in this town is a religion. High profile elite players could make a fortune with endorsements in this town... so after being grossly over paid by their hockey salaries, they could then augment their income, through various product endorsements... remember Gilmour in the cow pants! The right personality could own this town, but it seems to me that the players are simply happy to get their pay and be done with any extra activities... The Toronto market is a license to print money for the right player. There seems to be no will amoung players to take advantage of it! and the current roster lacks one thing... a marquee player! LOL HH
  14. No wonder you had the net hanging over the side of the boat!LOL Bernie, your Dad is lookin great! Must have made him very happy to have all three of yah in the same boat. HH

  17. Great report BB! You should try and find a way to gtg with more of us at any of our gatherings... can't help but think you would have a great time and that many of us here, would enjoy shooting the p**p with yah! HH
  18. Looks like I am going to have to upgrade my sling shot... aint now way my old one is gonna penetrate that hull! HH
  19. Just so yah know.... I had a problem with them in the past and have learned this much...they are protected and managed by the MNR - animal services will not do anything! -you cannot legally kill a raccoon without first documenting the damage the animal has made to personal property. This means pics, dates, times etc... -with proper documentation in place, you may live trap the animal and relocate it to a rural area and them put it down, but only on private property. (get a farmer to shoot it!) -if you are going to try and relocate the animal alive, you may only move it one km. This law is intended to stop the spread of disease. May I suggest and only suggest, that you live trap the animal, take it down to your favorite body of water as a means of entertaining the animal, whilst in your custody. Some how or other, I always seem to trip, just as I get to the water's edge and the trap and Raccoon escape my grasp and fall into the lake! Can't seem to figure out how to not trip carry all that weight! Then proceed to open your own haberdashery (sp)! HH
  20. Fill, I wish you would keep your "snow" to yerself... it's making it pretty cold out today, ya know! HH
  21. Come Cliff! You know the rules... no pic, no red neck! HH
  22. Yup! One of the reasons I always suggest Napoleon grills to folks! HH
  23. Sorry for your pain... do you have pain in your hips or shooting down your legs? If not, likely you are dealing with a muscle issue, rather than a structural issue. If that's the case, you should be icing it on a regular basis.. stay away from heat! Be very careful with any or all exercises as you may irritate it more. Now, should you have pain in your legs, it's more than likely that you have some structural issues and those are best dealt with by professionals... and I don't mean Chiro or massage... neather will do you any good. Rx's only hide the issue... if you provide more deets on your symptoms, I may be able to provide more info. HH
