  1. Dang Buck, she is way too cute for you! Welcome Andrea.....
  2. Hi Mark, you have an e-mail. I will gladly get his resume to the right people. I have lots of contacts in the high speed progressive stamping industry if that is where his experience lies. John..
  3. Nice job Lew. At first I figured that the holes were to keep the "livebait" breathing....
  4. When I was a kid, maggots were pretty much all I fished with, however I used them under a small float. I always kept a handful of them in the pocket of my fishing jacket, (very handy when wading a stream or river). BUT, don't forget them over the course of a week as I did. When your wife, or Mum in my case, opens the closet door pray you are not home.....
  5. Hey Kirk, sincere congrats.
  6. Well, I'm 20 years older than you and at 33 knowing what I know now, I would do it in a heartbeat. However, firstly, don't think that the hours will improve, they won't, at least for the first few years. Secondly, perhaps the best piece of advice I can offer is no matter how simple the business is, do your due diligence and put together a business plan. Third and perhaps the best piece of advice I can give is take Big Cliff up on his offer and spend a few hours or days with him and absorb it all. You are at an age where you can recover from failure. Don't get to an age where you can't recover from regret. J...
  7. Wayne, why don't you pull it down to see Glen for a few days and christen it in 'bama..........
  8. Welcome aboard guys and gals. Hope we can be of help as temporary hosts...
  9. OK........now I know just how damn old I really am!
  10. Classic Rock, 'most everything really except for gangsta rap! ACDC Pink Floyd Deep Purple Who Zepplin Queen Eric C Kim Mitchell Tom P The Hip in concert.. Most overrated band......Stones, with the exception of Keith Richards.
  11. OK Joey, I'll bite.................what the heck is emo?
  12. Good luck HH..
  13. Saw that show in December, amazing performances and worth every penny!
  14. Glen..... I didn't want to be the first one!
  15. Dang douG, got room in the suitcase! Glad you are going for the "Full Monty". American Plan is the only way to go, that way you can spend more time on the water and less time in the kitchen. Sounds like an amazing trip. J...
  16. Sounds like great fun Cliff. Nothin' like sitting on a pier with a few gweeches, drinks and line in the water wondering what's going to come out of the water next. Good way to meet new buddies too. J...
  17. Mornin' Lew, I totally agree. My family is out on those roads too with all of the Jackass's! Take a deep breath, another sip of coffee and think Buckhorn in August! J...
  18. Kudo's Lew, I would have done the same thing. Too bad some of us think in such a shallow manner. Wish it had turned out better, but you can gain some solice from the fact that your actions made sure that its' suffering was much reduced......
  19. Unfortunately I will be coming up on my own this year, so if anyone has a spot in a cottage and or a boat I would be more than pleased to pay my way. Please send me a message. Thanks, John...
  20. ccmtcanada, you have mail... John
  21. Many of us can attest to that............
  22. You know, I don't get to fish anywhere near as much as I would like as work keeps me travelling. So, I have not invested in a boat just to have it sit in the garage. The benefit of not owning a boat, at least for me, is getting to scrounge rides from some of the great people that make up this OFC world of ours. I have fished with quite a number of OFC'rs and have not found one, (maybe with the exception of the pink tu-tu guy), that I would not fish with again given the opportunity. We all have quirks, ideosyncracies and god forbid personalities. Don't judge us by our covers, you will miss out on some great times. By the way, I need a ride at Lakair this year................... John...
  23. Don't think that I would be comfortable with 8" of ice especially as there will be many spots with much less!
  24. Great news Glen, I'm sure that she will do just fine. She is a lucky dog who has a great life ahead with someone a caring as you. Have a great holiday... John
  25. I started to write a reply to this when I read Marc's post. In essence, it was very similar to what I had in mind except it comes from someone who is a professional and is respected in the industry. The only thing that I can add is get as much education as you can. Then choose a career path that you truly love and can't wait to get up in the morning and get on with it. The education will serve you well in anything you do.
