  1. I have to agree with you on that. A few years back in Havelock my friend and I were fishing and we caught a few and ate them lol. We weren't sure how they would taste but they were good.
  2. Sorry double post.
  3. Great report Joey. Love the pictures of the birds.
  4. That is awesome. After you last 2 tattoo pictures you have showed us, it has finally got to me. Time to get another tattoo.
  5. Lol she knows how I feel lol. I had to cook some mushroom soup and smoother it on lol.
  6. Always teasing us with these awesome meals lol. I had shake n bake pork chops lol. With the wifes cooking it is fairly close to smoked though lol, other then the burnt pieces rather then moist lol.
  7. Sorry double post.
  8. Yea I know what you mean about the ML. As for the line being tied and the knots getting in the way, I haven't jad any problems. I had more problems with straight flouro, it was a pain in the ass when you were drop shotting on windy days. May just be me but O found this way better and didn't have to keep fixing the line lol.
  9. Good to hear.
  10. I am pairing my Crucial with a Supreme XT. I have 10# braid with a 6# flouro leader.
  11. I understand why he is getting charged. He didn't have a gate to the yard. That is a law that is so stupid. It has been around for years. Having a proper fence around a pool or pond is smart and does prevent these kind of accidents.
  12. I just got a Crucial drop shot rod and I am stoked to try it. ML is what I always used and worked great but there were the times that it was a bit to soft and setting hook and keeping enough pressure while the fish came up was a bit of a pain. So I hope this Crucial is a better rod.
  13. It will be good.
  14. I will be fishing Erie as I always do for opener. I will be drop shottin with the best baits that there is for Erie.
  15. If your child is 2 and you are losing them then that is a problem. A bit older is understandable. I know when I was a kid like 5 or 6 I used to try and take off to explore, that scared the crap outta my parents. But never at 2. As for the the pool if he had a fence he was following bylaws but probably left a gatw open. If there wasn't a fence and there is a bylaw for it in that area then he will be getting charged for more then just the fence. He would have had to have a permit to build a pool there in the first place which the city has to allow. There could be alot of things leading to his charges. Still I blame the parents for not watching a 2 year old close enough.
  16. I agree with Grimace and Sinker. I have two daughters the oldest is 2 and a half. I don't take my eyes off of her. It is nothing about being to pertective at all when the child is 2-3 they will always be curious and don't really know right from wrong. Thinking a kid will need a shrink cause you watch them so close at that age is a dumb thing to say. I see where Bill is coming from as things do happen. Like my daughter falling off the couch when you go get a drink but at 2 no child should be left unsupervised outside or inside. It is a tragic thing to hear and sad to see a child lose there life too someone being careless.
  17. Wow Mike. I am lost for words after that report. Those are some amazing pictures and some breath taking scenery forsure. Your little guy looks happier then any kid I have seen. I am sure he will be one hell of a fisherman like his dad. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Depends on what you want to spend. A good drop shot rod is around 7' ML with a extra fast tip. As for line I would go with braid and and a flouro leader for my drop shot leaders I use 6lbs flouro. Again for the reel, depends on what your willing to spend. I have a Pfluguer supreme XT and its a great reel. Hope that helps. For the rod brand I am 100% a St. Croix all the way. That is just me, I am sure that others will have great thoughts on other brands.
  19. Yea that is the way I would go.
  20. Awesome Report as usual MB. I am dying to get one on the fly, thanks for the report and now I am going to go out searching for some gar.
  21. Thanks Dave, MJL and Dontcryforme. I appreciate it.
  22. Thank you Jacques, I appreciate it. It is a great feeling to land something on a new setup and a great feeling getting them on your own flies. RC they sure do smash them. Don't know what was hooked better at first the hook or they materials in teeth lol.
  23. I agree with ch312. I read the entire post on ottertooth forum. Hope he is ok but sounds like he was doing this out of the love of nature. Hope someone finds him and makes sure hes alright.
