  1. I have one I am no longer using. Same as the one in Terry's first picture, the green one. Once folded out into boat mode it has a different shape, the transom is smaller than the beam of the boat. Ill get pics if someone is interested. Willing to let it go for $600. PM me if interested. It doesnt look like much cosmetically, but no leaks and is perfect for small lakes. Anyone at the fish-a-thon the past 2 years would have seen me cruising with it alongside my girlfriend. Bought a 14foot tinny so no longer need it
  2. Well, there is always this fun charity 'tournament' if you could call it that. Its a friendly competition filled with great people, food and prizes. http://www.fish-a-thon.com/Fish-A-Thon_For_A_Cure/index.html Lake has some monster largies in it too **and all the money raised goes to cancer research!
  3. absolutely amazing fish. I'm with everyone else, that second picture really shows this beasts true size
  4. LOL at the chainsaw. I can only hope you didn't have access to any other power tools, as a chainsaw would not be my tool of choice. Having said that though, you are clearly much more skilled with a chainsaw than I
  5. was at mountsberg last weekend, 1 small pike (read, small) in 2 hours. Had a couple follows, but thats it. A very slow day for Mountsberg standards
  6. cute puppy! love hearing stories like this. Always puts a smile to my face, especially when there's pictures
  7. They look bored... lol
  8. I called the MNR today for the first time too! Was going to Terra greenhouses just north of Clapissons corner and decided to check out the pike grounds, aka Mountsberg Resevoir. There were 7 people fishing directly below the dam, all using jerkbaits and nailing pike one after the other. A couple guys were keeping them. Out on the main lake I saw 2 canoes, each with 2 people fishing. Called up the MNR and told them everything, not sure if anything came of it but I am sick of people messing with our fisheries. Not to mention these same people are probably the ones who leave all of their garbage in the grass/bushes when there is a huge dumpster RIGHT BESIDE WHERE THEY PARK. Stupid people, there is a LARGE sign near the path down to where they are fishing showing the species and when they are open
  9. yikes...
  10. It actual is pretty sweet! About the midpoint of every month they send you a variety of trial plastics and hardbaits. My February box came with a Live Target crawfish and a bunch of other stuff; the live target lure alone costs 11.99 @ sail. My girlfriend bought me a year subscription, and to be honest I look forward to it coming in my mailbox!
  11. sounds/looks like great customer service to me! Good on 'em!
  12. Also, check out there Wart Hawgs in 6" size if you like fishing wacky. Unbelievable bait for me. My new favourite plastic. That picture on the site with the quick review is me on Simcoe. Highly recommend them and they are SO much durable than the senkos!
  13. That flyer is for this week. The Spring Classic sale starts friday the 28th. Having said that, thanks! I always love drooling over BPS flyers/catalogs in the winter
  14. Because cats are the superior animal.... But really, as far as I know, most municipalities have by-laws against cats being able to roam outdoors. Check your local by-laws, if there is a 'problem cat' I believe you have the right to trap it and bring it to the humane society, which then the owner would have to pay a decent fine to get the cat back.
  15. My thoughts exactly
  16. No shipping! Girlfriend surprised me with a subscription in September. I must admit they are pretty friggen cool. It will definitely broaden my fishing techniques. It will basically force me to try new tackle & techniques So far I have gotten some pretty sweet stuff out of my 4 monthly boxes.
  17. I admit I miss the show mainly for the 'what happened' and the awkward male/female questions segments. Now I bounce between 97.7 and 107.9 for the morning shows. Jason Barr was the best part of the Blundell show, and Todd second. Don't get me wrong Dean had his moments, but he was such a hypocrite it actually made me mad at times. Oh, and the music on the Edge sucks hard; minus a few gems
  18. Got the red lipless crank in my stocking from my girlfriend... not going to lie, I am actually pretty pumped to use this come soft water
  19. Awesome video and even better cops. Glad to see some viral videos showing cops doing good, they don't get the credit they deserve.
  20. holy crap what a difference! I don't own/use any glow spoons/lures, but if I decide to get some the UV flashlight is definitely the way to go! Cool comparison video!
  21. that is a big fish! Any idea on its length?
  22. nicely done! that's a lot of pictures, thanks for your hard work!
  23. I was thinking about this the other day too. I have only used the round ones and I liked them in the fact that I just slipped my line through the metal clip and tied a simple overhand knot. Never saw the use of going to the pencil weights, but I can understand the usefulness of the tungsten weights, being more dense and all. I just got into drop shotting this summer, didn't do any @ the fish-a-thon though. The trusty wacky worm and fluke texas rigged did all the damage for Rachel and I that day.
