  1. Just make sure you aren't parallel to the tracks on said rocks...or you are trespassing. Mountsberg is good if all you care about is catching something. It is hard, especially if on a boat/canoe, to NOT catch a pike out there. Throw on a chartreuse spinnerbait and have fun. There are some decent bass in that lake also. The bass in my avatar photo was caught there, and I have caught bigger. Problem is if you are targeting bass, it is VERY hard to keep the pike off. Have fun
  2. Odd name, I'm just curious as to what their colours are going to be On a serious note, logo/mascot??
  3. haha love the enthusiasm! I fished it once a few years ago but only for an hour or so and a storm rolled in. Didn't catch anything worthwhile, but may just have to check it out again once bass opens! Good thread!
  4. dear lord those are some massive gators
  5. Reimer proved he is number one. Off season training to handle rebounds better and he'll be even better.
  6. At first I thought you posted the wrong link...but future shop does indeed sell this. Can't help you out but very curious to find out more
  7. Got my car all loaded up! Can't wait
  8. Well, $12.99 and 5 mins of pondering I made this! It works perfectly! Just need to make a few 'Y' pieces to stick to the back of the mirror to prevent the rod tips from slipping off! Yay!
  9. That might be the way I go! I'd prefer to keep it assembled, but I'd need about 6inch tubing, a bit of overkill I lied again. Rod is labeled 7 foot and will squeeze into my car between driver and passenger seat. Time to make a holder on the inside roof, I'll update this thread with what I come up with
  10. And the portaboat does stay on the roof. I have the seats/floor and motor/battery and all other fishing gear in the back. Maybe I'll just go buy a 2 piece rod and be done with it
  11. Thanks man. Still running it over in my head. It won't be left out to the elements. It will be air/water tight
  12. But I have a portaboat and have to stuff a lot of crap in there, as well as bring the girlfriend along. I never said I couldn't fit it, I implied I didn't want to fit it
  13. damn that fuel economy is pretty unreal, especially considering it will probably only get better once the engines worked in. 19mg in stop n go isn't all that much lower than my mazda3. Sorry I cannot help with your topic, but I had to comment! enjoy the truck!
  14. That was my thought too, easy and quick. But you must have used fairly thick diam. PVC, no? Did you line the inside with anything, or did you just put a cover over the reel?
  15. Hey everyone. Long story short I got a nice 7foot rapala rod for Christmas and a nice new shimano baitcaster. It does not fit comfortably in my mazda3, but I do have roof racks that I carry my portaboat on. I have seen rod holders, buy I would like to buy/make something so I don't have to take it apart every time. What have you guys made or have seen?
  16. That site is cool! Might sign up. The thing I do like about mysterytacklebox, is that it would almost force me to try different techniques if I got them in the box, which otherwise I more than likely wouldn't have tried. Time to research!
  17. Anyone see this before? It popped up on my Facebook and it seems like a pretty cool idea. You pay a monthly (or yearly) fee and each month you receive atleast $15 worth of product. The idea is they send you new or popular stuff to try out, and they include cards which help you in using your new bait. I may try it out for 1 or 2 months just to see what I get out of it. Might be a cool way to try out products that I normally would have NEVER tried. http://mysterytacklebox.com/ MONTHLY Good value $15.00 3 MONTH Great value $43.50 6 MONTH Amazing value $85.50 12 MONTH Best value $165.00 Could be a cool gift for a fisherfriend as well. I know I would love getting a package in the mail monthly with cool new lures to try. Any thoughts?
  18. I live on Bronte Creek. Let me tell you, you'll have a hard time canoeing past the Rebecca St. Bridge. Never tried fishing south of the bridge, but I know its considered a sanctuary (maybe only certain times of the year?). Don't really know the specifics but I am sure someone here can help you more
  19. If you use chrome/firefox, get adblocker plus. Stops the popups for me! Good fights last night! The Condit v. Hendricks was a battle. Typical GSP fight, I was expecting more of a battle between the two considering all of the hype leading to the fight, but still nice to see him with the belt I was asking about an HD stream because I have watched LeafsTV games in HD before, so thought maybe somewhere there was an HD link. Guess not! Thanks for the website Nipfisher!
  20. Hey guys I know some of you guys know good sites for streaming live events. Anyone know of a decent near HD quality stream of tonights fights? Not sure if I have it in me to go out to a bar tonight after last nights festivities, but at the same time can't miss GSP vs Diaz Thanks!
  21. Love how almost everyother ad is for tobacco or cigarettes/cigars funny stuff!
