  1. Good ole' lucky # 13.
  2. Just as you guys did. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.
  3. Hehehe. That wasn't by accident. In case y'all haven't noticed I prefer to go against the grain just a lil' bit.
  4. I figured I'd take a break from my usual rants and offer a post in the spirit for which this board was truly intended. I decided to take a break from life and pursue the passion I've had for four decades and acted on a "Tip" from a friend who had found the ever elusive Hardwater Crappie. Truck loaded with gear we hit the road for 1pm and head to our home lake 45 minutes away to fish an area of the lake we don't tend to frequent much anymore. Truck parked and gear on the ground we both turn to the lake and take notice to one of the stranger things rarely seen on heavily fished waters, No One!!! As we step onto the lake we scoured the holes left by our "Tip" and spent an hour or so entertaining ourselves on some lighter action the Perch were offering until we were all set up in our target area. What was to follow truly epitomizes fishing for me. Hovering over approximately 7 Fow and enclosed in my blind, the events that were about to unfold is what every angler hopes for. The fading light of day seemed to be the catalyst as a loner Carp, some Bluegill and Bass were followed by 7 multi-class Walleye. As the intense action and daylight disappeared, I fired up the flasher and like a portal, that ring of fire offered me a window into the world where sight and feel take on a new meaning. With every flicker and flare, target after target was realized as many Crappie were caught and many more were released to fight another day. With time being the enemy of fun it was soon time to pack up our gear along with another memorable chapter in a book that many anglers have read from. Man does it ever feel good to walk on water. Note; There's a closed winter season for walleye hence no pictures. Caught and quickly released.
  5. Pay up for what? Let the English pay. After all, most of the ills in modern society can be directly attributed to the way they conducted their business a couple of hundred years ago. Funny how we still send that monarchy our hard earned money isn't it? As far as what "some" Indians are doing, becoming commonly typical . ps. Anyone that refers to any board members opinion on this post as a Racist , please go pound a lil' salt. Frankly getting tired of stepping on the over harvest of low hanging fruit.
  6. hehehehe... Exactly!!!!!!!!
  7. Nice haul. Appreciate the report FF. Out on Scugog yesterday and only an Eye caught in the group but great to be out for sure. Gotta get me to some deeper water.
  8. YA I KNOW!!! ISN'T THAT GREAT?!?!?! They'll be on the ice again today for a practice after a 2 week holiday break. GO Blue Thunder!!!!! (Daughters Hockey Team). Doubt I'll watch any NHL hockey anymore. My time is just too valuable.
  9. I purchased a fixed height pedestal last season. I figure at 45 yrs old there's little chance of growing anymore and that way I'll probably never have to replace it. Might be an option for you. Your local marina would probably be able to order one in for you.
  10. Make sure you take the batteries out of the electric undies before you go in. Gongrats on the new suit.
  11. King Midas ain't got Bunk on Drew. A man truly blessed are you. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Same to you and yours Shadowfly and to OFC Members as well.
  13. Fish it, if it breaks within the warranty period return it and if it doesn't break keep fishing it. When it does eventually break buy another. When a snag occurs, whether underwater or from the canopy above be sure to pull straight back through the tip guide thus greatly reducing possible rod breakage as well as making sure rod is clear of either vehicle door and tailgate edges. Good luck.
  14. Looks like a Good Ole' Fashion Dusting. Bring a roll of trail tape with ya if you leave the house.
  15. It's about time we had some snow on the ground!!!! After the lack there of last year I was beginning to wonder if Al(Chicken Little) Gorre wasn't as out of his mind as I thought he was....er... is. Like too see some pictures for sure Roy. Stay safe and enjoy the down time.
  16. Was at Duffins Creek yesterday and my buddy had a take down while holding his phone to his ear and the bait dangling in the current. Actually hit it twice. No matter how cold it gets, when I'm hungry and if it ain't there in front of me, I will chase food.
