  1. Tuesday will be insane! Amazing pitching from both sides. Sanchez and Price putting it on the line. It was a great game!
  2. Crazy times! Baltimore and Detroit lost so all down to one game lol. Why did they have to get themselves into this situation in the first place? Drama for your momma lol.
  3. Anyone know if they're going to be open on Sunday, as an exception to the situation?
  4. September 11-16 record...what happened?
  5. Oh for sure. Something definitely dysfunctional. When Benoit got injured from the scuffle, he basically called out Donaldson and Bautista for reacting to close inside pitches, which resulted with Donaldson getting dinged or more like grazed. I hope the group can pull together and finish strong or else they will end up alienating a huge fan base. They've build up a lot of passionate fans.
  6. I'm gonna go out on a limb and blame upper management for their screw up. Not signing EE or JB prior to the start of the season was a mistake. Who'd want to play for management when their. It behind you? Sure, they're professional athletes and all, but they're still human.
  7. Man, I have such a sinking feeling the Jays may not make the playoffs this year. The vibe, compared to last year, is a few notches down. I look over at Boston and I see the Jays of 2015. Not sure what's going on, but all cogs of the team seem to be in a grind. Not because they lost 4-0 tonight against the O's or lost 3-2 the night before, there is certainly something worse off this year than last.
  8. It's unfortunate that some people need to gloat at the loss of another. There were some good people who worked there and can't imagine their disbelief that the establishment has a ticking timeline. A few bad eggs didn't deserve the entire store closing. That might just mean less choices for consumers. How will a mom & pop store compete with the big box stores? I hope some of the employees can pool together and buy out a location as a Lebarons ver 2.0.
  9. You guys always do a fantastic job. And you're right, the club could always use a few more members. The pig roast, that happened a few weeks ago, was a treat!
  10. I've had my G3 for 5 years as a second owner. I've sent them in once to have pinhole leaks and gravel guard repaired. Great service and worth the money. Def try and find a pair of good condition 2nd hand G3s. Nothing is bullet proof and as such, regular maintenance and care would be mandatory to extend the life of the product. I've heard good things from Streamside, Orvis, and Patagonia waders. Worth checking out to get an idea of what you're getting, especially if you're paying full retail price. Certainly, one of the best investments to make when you're fishing the rivers.
  11. Could you bring the rod into Shimano and get a replacement? Even if they don't do a warranty rellacement, they'll probably charge you a flat rate fee to get a new one.
  12. It's ridiculous how some people still feel they can get away from DUI. Another danger posed to early morning drives are deer or wild turkey. Somehow, these two animals can be pretty dumb hanging around the side of the road. There's mixed feelings on the effectiveness with deer whistles, but I'd rather lean on the side of caution. Drive safe everyone.
  13. I must not be seeing clearly...unless Dickey is out of the post season rotation, despite Shapiro denying that. I thought Shapiro was against giving up prospects? Is it a coincidence the year Shapiro leaves the Cleveland organization, his old team is finally prospering? Lol.
  14. Nice going Richard! Good to see the younger kids taking an interest. We certainly need those younger kids to carry the torch.
  15. Rob might be referring to Nipissing Lodge. Their website says $15/day to dock I believe.
  16. Rumble Johnson has always been a classy guy and so fun to watch. Never puts another guy down, always stays professional and when he gets into the ring, it's all business. The dude is a beast! It was funny that they were able to do a replay of the entire fight lol. Diaz & McGregor both have big heads. lol Despite the damage on Diaz's face, I thought he fought the better fight. That guy never stops, always moving forward. His cardio is top notch and the way he trains, no wonder he can easily go 5 rounds without getting tired. Connor just faded and resulted to running away. Despite fading away near the end of the 2nd round, gotta give him props for the take down defense. Can't wait to see the next match to finish off the trilogy. And to see that many bouncers in the beginning to keep them away from each other and then at the end of the fight, giving each other mutual respect...sounds kinda fishy. lol I'm wondering if the top brass at UFC told them to make the fight last 5 rounds to take away the bad press it's been getting lately...particularly with the Lesnar baggage and the lacklustre events of UFC 200. The DC vs Silva match was a joke! lol
  17. I've also been hearing from people who believe the low river levels are caused from the water bottling plants as well. Beaver and Bighead are the ones that come to mind. The next time you're by Beautiful Joe Park, there use to be a diving platform back in the day and you can still see the concrete abutment and notice where the water level use to be and what it is now. And on the Beaver, a lot of the shore spots have never been that exposed compared to before. I hope something can be done before the effects cannot be reversed.
  18. Have you tried a Neti Pot? I know, it looks weird and all. It doesn't do so much as to unclog your nasals, but it does a good job cleaning out any mucous/phlegm, dust, etc from your sinuses. It's better to use it when you're not stuffed up so the irrigation has a path to travel. You should be able to get them at Shoppers and aren't expensive. It includes 50 packets of saline solution to use with it. You can find out more info with the link below and decide whether or not it's worth a try: http://www.webmd.com/allergies/neti-pots Hope you find some long term relief!
  19. The attached image was in a reply to Cliff to show him the average salary of Cardiologists in Canada. The pie chart itself shows a breakdown of how they acquire their income. The link I included provides a detailed profile of Canadian cardiologists. It was just to show where I'm getting the information from and it wasn't just off the top of my head.
  20. The chart I put up wasn't suppose to show you anything, but it was in reply to Cliff's situation. I'm unsure of the point you're trying make, aside from tipping your hat towards John, regarding "concise, presented in a clear and civil manner, logical, well thought out, appear not to be a cut and paste made to look as an original opinion, made without malice towards the opposition." John, we can go on and on till forever which gov't is more corrupt and no one will ever come out on top. I've acknowledged the fact that the Liberals are not innocent and they've had a nice thick file of documented instances of wasteful spending. What you've mentioned the Liberals have done, the Cons are no saints other. Harper's fear mongering tactics of a Liberal gov't are well documented. How about the fancy "fake" pool during the G20 summit that cost a nice cool $1mil and didn't the entire thing cost over $1bil when compared to other host nations that spent a fraction of that? Or how about Tony Clement getting a $50mil G8 funding approval to splash around his riding? On a whole, and I agree with you John, Canada's health care has seen a nice boost year after year. The general salaries of our physicians also indicate that. The one thing that I would be cautious is the annual increases that are tied to GDP. Think about that one...if a province has a lower GDP, they will not receive the 6%. A lower GDP usually can be associated with an aging population...people who are retired. So, is that fair that health increases should be tied with their GDP? I'll be the first to tip my hat towards that aging demographic and I feel that they would get the short end of the straw if those annual increases are tied to their GDP.
  21. Lol. Injuries are bound to happen if you don't warm up and do stretches. Lol.
  22. Court vball has some seriously skilled beasts lol. I had a chance to watch the Canadian men's upset the powerhouse American team. I've seen int'l competition before, but some fellas have really pushed beyond the boundaries with their top spin jump serves. It's already pretty deceiving with the top spin jump serve and it just drops in front of the passer. Watching Hoag's serving is a thing of beauty where it doesn't just have a top spin, but also side spin making the ball curve! I can't recall how fast the speed was, but definitely putting out smoke rings! Beach vball is another sport I enjoy watching. The Americans, Brasillians, Dutch, and Italians usually are the top teams. Italy's Carambula sure is entertaining to watch with his sky ball serves! On a side note, Toronto is hosting an int'l beach vball tournament in Sept that's free to attend. I'd highly recommend going!
  23. Mtl has some of the best food around. Smoke Meat Pete's, in L'ile Perrot was a favourite. So many good places. SO many good joints that are listed on blogs and so many more that are off the beaten path. You can easily gain 2lbs by spending a weekend there and eating like a king/queen lol.
  24. Did you notice the original question to all of this? I questioned why the double standard. A Conservative Gov't decides to put forth cuts for reduced spending Con supporters are in favour. When the Liberal Gov't does the same thing, there's a raucous. After all, isn't reduced spending one of the goals of Conservative supporters? As it currently stands, nothing is being changed and we are on due course for Flaherty's proposal to happen in 2017. Hypothetically speaking, if Trudeau goes about and reverses the proposed reduced health transfers starting 2017, will you be supporting that decision or be up in arms about increased spending under a Liberal gov't?
