Hi everyone need some help .. Dad's turning 60 we are thinking of getting him a new rod and reel. For a couple years he has talked about fly fishing. I would like to get him a decent set up rod, reel, line and a couple flies. This way he all set up . I do not believe he knows much about fly fishing, he does enjoy using a spin cast on creeks and river so this will be a new adventure. The thing is I have no clue what to get, were to get it, or what he needs. Any ideas what a decent set up would be and were to get one? Anything I should look into ?. Anything I need that I am not thinking of ? I live in Bruce county but travel to London often, also could get something shipped Any help would be great Thanks

it would be interesting to know what bps has it on for now . I`ve been trying to contact lowrance about getting a hds hat however the email thing has not been going well. It seem they only have one style hat for sale to US customers. :wallbash:

The last and most important thing is service whatever machine you buy make sure you can get good local service. Ask to see their service department, is it clean, well stocked. Then Google them and see if there are any customer reviews. GREAT POINT Cliff Get what you like maintain it and you will be fine .. I wanted a two up rider looked at pol/can/cat. yem/hon does not make a two up rider, Decided to go with the cat been happy so far.

Would you drive your car through a stop sign ??? NO but lots do Bottom line people make stupid decisions everyday. What common sense to us is not common to others

We just got the arctic cat 550 so far i love it.. We were only looking at the two-up riders so i could only pick from Polaris Can and Cat for me hands down the cat seemend better time will tell Did not go with the carb however did like the thought of starting it if the battery was dead Either way good luck with what your pick..

Did not want to turn this into "what is best" Will save that post for a couple years lol Might need to upgrade the johnson 100 GT but until then i will keep it Just need someone i can trust for the honda for now

GBW i might have to take you up on the offer maybe the longer drive will be worth it Surprized no one local that someone can recommend. Might have to rethink the next honda. I had a heck of a time getting a part for it last year. Thanks

Hi Just wondering if anyone knows someone/dealer who works on honda outboards in the London to Owen Sound area ? Would like to find someone i can trust.. Would like for them to go over the engine, give it a tune up and see how strong the compression is. If the eng checks out i want to look into purchasing a controll king or troll master for it. With the engine being older (mid 90`s) i would hate to put on a controller, if the eng is on its way out. So far for two years the eng has ran great just one fuel issue. Thanks Strik If you woudl like to pm thats fine as well
