  1. I saw a Cuda 128 by Eagle (Portable Unit)at Walmart this week for $60.00 regular price is $144.00.Would be perfect for a canoe .you may have to go to a few walmarts before you find one.Good luck with your purchase.

  3. Welcome to the world of 40 Marc.Luckily I go skating with my kids in the winter.I do go to the rink once in awhile and play some hockey with the young ones its then I realize I am am either too old or just severily out of shape. Toughest thing about skating these days is bending down to tie my skates cause my fat gut is in the way. I will be skating with the kids today my 2 girls have new skates to try out. Looking forward to Ile Perrot ice fishin if the safe ice returns. By now I am sure Marc Olivier is taller than me.
  4. Nice pic it looks like Arizona hard to believe its Canada in the winter.Get well soon.
  5. Sorry to hear about your family loss .A tough decision was made.
  6. Oh boy here we go again this will open a can of worms.I use both set ups when using my planer boards. I use mono on my Offshore Boards because the clips that come with them are meant for mono unless you do a wrap around with the braided line which has resulted in lost fish from trying to undo the wraparound. I also use Church tackle boards which work well with braided line. I don't believe that braided line means less hookups.Once a treble hook ends up in a fishes mouth it pretty well stays ther unless it is hooked lightly in the front of the lip. I believe in the rod you are using will help with the hook up.The bend in the rod will compensate for the lack of stretch with the braid.I have never lost a fish yet with braid.I use 2 down rigger rods with my inline planers I am yet to see it proven that mono is better than braid for boards .I think they both work well most treble hooks provide a good hookup. I recently purchased a battery powered hook sharpener .It sharpens hooks like night and day to what your new lure comes with. A sharp hook will give an angler the greater advantage for a cleaner hook up. I don't use leaders while walleye fishing but I have hooked a few pike without a leader hooked deeply in the mouth and the line was not cut by the pikes teeth. If that was mono my lures would have been gone. My 3 cents MTP
  7. That looks like a warm suit you have Lew.I have seen DouG's suit looks well made. I bought a couple of those $20 yellow rubber suits and got tired of sweating my ass off. The wife bought be a rain suit from Costco Wetskins I am very impressed with it it breathes well and keeps me very dry.It is more for summer though not for the cold fall days.Good bang for the buck at $49.99 MTP
