Here's another idea I saw on a carp board...kinda nifty... I understand the owner keeps his ground bait in this pail so that keeps the alarm stick steady...

Just what we need...another carper... The only reports of carp catches I have heard recently have come from the warm water outlets down Hamilton, Dundas, St. Catherines areas... Maybe ccmt can take a look at the picture properties of some of his early season carp catches and give us an idea when Lake Ontario starts to produce... Not much doing in the Kawarthas until late May... I hope this helps... Suckers should be running in the rouge soon...not as much fun as carp but still better than nuttin'...

1/16th ounce or 1/32nd ounce jig inside a micro tube...(try various colors/combinations)...under a light slip float... Keep in mind to not fish on bottom...crappie are always looking upwards for food...not hard to catch if they are "on"...

If the CBC went commercial like CTV etc. do you think they would broadcast into the non-profit markets like they do now ? Like the post office, you pay $0.55 for a stamp to mail a letter anywhere in Canada the CBC sends its signal everywhere...The people in Tuktoyaktuk (sp) deserve to see Hockey night in Canada as much as Toronto and Montreal... Besides, I need the employees payinging into the CBC pension Plan so that I get my cheque every month... BTW...CBC sells lots of programs all over the world..."The Nature of Things" was and probably still is their number 1...Back in my days there it was "Street Legal"...and nobody did the Olympics better than CBC...

I found using regular 1 1/2 inch nails with the bigger heads worked better inserted through the barrel swivel of my carp hair rigs and then pressed down tight to the noodle...nothing sticking out or breaking off...

That's the problem living in the big smoke...They rip you off...you don't go back to them for nuttin' any more...they care less as there is another sucker coming in to replace you every day...
