  1. as a relative newcomer to the board, i have been in awe of the relationship most of you seem to have with one another. i spent part of the afternoon with Roy the other day and i felt like i'd known him for years. Thats how at "home" he made Barb and i feel. This seems to be the norm on this incredible forum. As i read the posts in this thread and others sharing personal tradgedy or utter elation, i get a warm fuzzy feeling, and i know that i am in the right place, and if the opportunity arises, i will lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. cheers to all of you, and Art, you are a gem of a man for doing such a thing.
  2. welcome to the board !!! nice smallies. you're gonna love it here. the most knowledgeable gang of anglers you'll ever meet. tight lines paul
  3. great pics. I was up there 3 weeks ago with my bro. will be there again this saturday. He usually fishes the south end, but this time i'm bringing my boat too.not as fast as his B Boat, since we are going in at White Lake marina, i'm gonna fish the north end. It's a beautifull area for sure and fishin is good.

  5. Well its been so windy that we haven't been able to get out on the river. Went out friday morning and caught about 24. Anything from walleye to perch to a nice little smallie. today the winds were lighter so off we went. i know its me holding them, but she's catching them. These sheepshead really put up a fight, but she got this one all by herself. im gonna get her to hold one next time. just have to convince her that they aren't yucky !!!!!

  8. i was too young to remember the actual hurricane. i recall listening to the panic in my parents voices and the fear all around. i had an aunt hazel at the time, and for years i was terrified of her..i guess hearing the name hazel used in conversations about so much death and destruction really affected this childs mind alot.
  9. bonk em and put em on ice. keep a cooler with a bag of cubes in it. the ice keeps the flesh nice and fresh. Live wells and stringers tend to stress a fish and this may change the flavor of some fish.learned this today from a wise angler. Right Roy ;-))
  10. i' surely keep that in mind cheers
