NO WAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i envy those who can do this by hand. Nothing beats oil, or pastels, or pencil. My only talent is my imagination and the ability to manipulate pixels.

most of them are done in Vue d'Esprit. I like the hd realism in the finished product. Some are in Bryce. i post process my images in photoshop or photoimpact.

depends how adept you are with your right hand. i learned with a left hand retrieve spinner, but i am comfortable using a rh retrieve baitcaster. i am a right handed person, so the baitcaster leaves my rh free for other things .now im confused......

excellent choice

i purchased a calisto as an entry level bait caster. used it unti i was comfortable wit the transition from spinning to baitcaster. got a citica recently and it is a fantastic reel. smooth, and just chunky enough to fill my big hands. i'm casting like a pro now. the vbs system is easy to use. set it,forget it. got the D for me and the more compact E for the wife.

someones got way to much time on thier hands. shouldn't you be out on the lake somewhere with your pole in your hand

from what i've learned and read, the hook should rust out, or fall out. i recently caught an 11 inch LMB,too small to keep, hooked through the gill plate.Looked really bad ,bloody,so i cut the line and put it in the live well. when i got back to the dock, the hook was in the bottom of the well, and the fish was swiming around just fine, so i put it back in the water and it swimmed away looking fine. so, depending how he got hooked, i think he should be fine.

looks like a thermocline or turbulance caused by an underwater current. both of these can help you find fish.

thats what i say too.Barb and i make a good team. I told her she should just join up and jump right in here. From what i've seen.you're all a bunch of great people who show respect for one another, and don't laff at newbies and our questions.

i was taught how to fish by my father and grandfather years ago, and they both used swivels to attach lures to line. grandfather made a living as a guide and trapper, so i figure it must be ok. i use good quality black swivels because they seem to be less visible in the water. i must say though, that if im using plastics, i tie directly to the hook because i use the same hook even if i want to change color or type.

My wife loves to fish, and she is a great fishing partner too. She asked me how many other of you fished with your wives, and how many of them are memebers of OFC. She was also wondering if there maybe enough to start a discussion group for female anglers. i personally think its a great idea, but was wondering what you all thought. but don't beat me up though

Any great sites for Fishfinder Instructions?

now i get to share what i learned since july, when i got mine. A sonar is an important tool for discovering depth, bottom profile and bottom cover or structure. that combined with your knowledge of how and where the fish you are looking for live will help you catch fish. just because you have no arches or fishy symbols appearing on the screen, doesn't mean there are no fish in the water around your boat. the only time you will have symbols is if you are directly above a fsih, or if one swims directly under the transducer. the shallower the water the smaller the circle of the transducer beam. i believe the piranha max 160 has a dual beam transducer which gives better detail in shallow water. -
now that i know fidel a bit better, i'd have to say that you're in for a wild fishin' trip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't wait to here about it !!!!

i recently switched to bait casting, and i love the control i have over my cast. i can stop the lure where ever i want it to land, plus, the retrieve ratio is much faster than spinning, at least in my case. I still keep my flueger spinning reel on a rod in my boat though. There are still times when i need to cast really far, and i find i can double the distance with a spinner. Bait casters have a higher learning curve. if you're like me, you;ll get a few birds nests in the begining, but after a few casts, and some tips from the great ofners you'll be fine. don't go cheap combo in the begining. i did and now have an extra rod and reel that i dont use any more go right for the good stuff

got a new citica 200d. i chose it cause it fits my big hands better tham the 200e. did i choose wisely. fits into my budget too, but hope i did the right thing. also got a quantum energy PT 6.5ft. they feel real nice together. any experience with one or the other

i like the kind that change in the lite. i tried to match it to my eye color as much as possible. one can never look TOO good when you're on the water

not today, but most of the fish i posted the other day came from this same place. walleys, sheepshead and a nice pike. it was almost fishless this morning. weird....

between fishing mixes and rod/reel combos, sounds to me like you work at CT or something. whats up with that anyway

a fisherman apparently caught a blue shark just past quebec city, but that far east the salt and fresh water start to mix,but not here in montreal though.
