  2. I used Power pro red last year.It was fine. This year i'm trying Spiderwire flouro braid and stealth.I already like the "feel" of the way the flouro braid comes off the reel, better than PP.

  8. My grandparents had a farm up in Shawville Que.About 1/2 mile from the farm was one of those old bridges you talk about. So narrow, that we would have to listen for cars coming down the gravel road,so we could get off the bridge before they got there. I would go and sit on that bridge with my Gramps, and he would whistle as we sat there and fished little brook trout. Ahh yes, those summer days were the best Dang, i got all misty there for a minute.
  9. You just captured a moment in my life i had forgoten all about. Thanks Paul
  10. Well Mom has decided to sell the house and move into a retirement home. As the oldest son, i got the job of cleaning out Dads workshop. I knew it would be a daunting task.It hasn't been touched since he passed 18 years ago. It was like a time capsule.Things exactly as he left them.Hand written plans for some duck decoys he had always wanted to make, even some of the materials he had purchased to do this. Mom said i could take anything i wanted, so i loaded up his hand tools and various other belongings. I found these 2 things that i thought some of you would like to see. the first is and old Luxor Pezon Michel spinning reel, made in France in the 1940's The thing still works as smoothly as the day it was made. Also a hand made icefishing rod that my grandfather used to use when my Dad was a kid I will most likely load the reel up with new mono and use it this sumer a couple of times. Paul
