  1. Stay away from the HD green ones and the tsc cub cadets. They are not the same as they used to be.How much acreage are you cutting?Art and I have to cut about 5 acres between us so we split the cost of a Bobcat Zero turn machine. It cut mowing time in half and its a lot of fun to ride.If you go with zero turn get one that steer by hydrolics and not belts.Go with the Kohler motor if you can.If you want more info PM me or Art(aplumma) Joe edited to read.I just reread that you have 2 acres of irregular cutting. If you have lots of stuff to cut around I would highly recommend a zero turn or a walk behind with a sulky.48" or so would work.Get as much mower as you can afford or plan on replacing it often.Good luck
  2. Or is everyone chatted out from last night?I'll be there at around 8:30 or so. Joe
  3. Glad you are getting out of there.I remember a few years back you posting that they fell thru your cieling..or am I just having a senior moment?Around here we kill them on sight,if you see them in the daylight they are prolly rabid,at least here they are. Joe
  4. I use moles and voles to get rid of the grubs..works pretty well.I then use my 85 lb Labradoodle to dig up the moles and voles..not so pretty but very effective. You got a better way? I'm all ears. Joe
  5. This is the garage we ended up building if you can.It holds my 1975 trcuk,my 17' boat and my 1965 truck.I also has room for my tools,a work bench and a fridge full of beverages. It uses mostly nominal dimensions, has no posts in the middle but does require some engineered trusses for the roof.I only wish I had gone bigger. https://www.behmdesign.com/garageplans/1080-1.html Here is a pic.
  6. Another tip is you to change over to the LED bulbs. They are brighter and dont run as hot. They are less likely to pop whenyou back your trailer into the water if you forgetto unplug your trailer. Roy also has a trick light system on his jeep. Joe
  7. Just the ones that you choose for race day count against you.In your example only Tony count. Joe
  8. Wont work..Goats are browsers..much like deer they eat a bit of grass and a bit of your roses.Sheep are grazers they will eat mostly grass but not so much of the weeds if you have any.Sheep need to be shorn yearly and you have to ctch them and hold them for the shearer. Not much fun and much harder than starting a lawnmower.Just so you know going into it. Joe
  9. Forgot about Toro..very fine machines Joe
  10. Ya got to read the rules...Just kidding,I got burned that way 2 years ago.Thats why it has a */9 next to the name.Hope evryone sees this cause it will bite you in the butt later in the year. Joe
  11. Tiller!!Just kidding.Seems that most are the same nowdays. The motors will prolly outlast the stamped steel frame. The Shiny green John deer and Cub Cadets are not the same as the ones you used to get.Just restickered MTD's and Murry's.You can go cheap and buy the store brand and expect to replace it in a few years or spend more on a name brand and prolly last about the same amount of time.I did have a lawnboy 2 stroke that I really liked but it died after a decade or so.Mostly I use a Bobcat Zero turning radius or the bushog but I think that may be overkill for your lot.Hopefully someone in the repair business will give some more insight. You may want to just check out some yard sales and save a ton. Joe
  12. But I did have Kyle. Since he's in the second tier, Ill be picking him every week. You got to pace yourself, you can only pick him 9 times and then you cant use him anymore. Joe
  13. That was a lot of fun to watch.I had Ky Bush,Hamlin,Yeley and Burton.Could have been a huge day but not so bad after all. Joe
  14. Much better racing than I thought it would be.Those boys put on a show.Burton is a class act.Glad I didn't pick Tony this week. Joe
  15. If I could only pick one it would be a firetiger husky jerk.I dont get up there for early season pike but have done well from Late June until late Aug. with this lure. Joe
  16. Here is the runabout..its a tiler!
  17. There is a video somewhere of guys bowhunting those things as they fly thru the air.Jump shooting carp with a bow....Sounds like a career opportunity for someone to guide the bowhunters.Maybe even some skeet shooting fun! Joe
  18. For some reason the have not caught on in our neck of the woods. If you have gas to the house and a high efficiency heater the savings will prolly not be that great.I use a timer on my gas heater and the gas bill is not so bad.Not sure the cost of the unit and the installation would pay off over the life of the unit.If the house was new and designed to have the unit then maybe. Joe
  19. I prefer the tiller version
  20. Happy to ya Wayne and Fishegirl.Hope you both have a good one. Joe
