  1. 3-3.5" flutter spoons, like Wabblers, mooselocks. Swedish Pimples Jigging raps Jig heads Tiny buckshots Rattlin' flyers Minnows or minnow heads on any of those mentioned above. I've had great days without minnows, but it's really hard to not use minnows unless the bite is really good. I suggest visiting North Bay Outfitters on Lakeshore Drive. They have a great selection of ice fishing baits for Nipissing, and I can guarantee that someone with offer help/advice...
  2. Make your own spreader for pike sized minnows or a multiple drop shot style rig. Also, bring a shelter (or a blanket to block light) and watch your bait.... I used to love seeing pike watch my bait for a long time.
  3. Those guys must have slept for a week straight after that adventure. Good post
  4. Well they found us quickly the other day haha
  5. Thanks Costa, its the Trailhawk model. Pretty good offroad so far. Nick, I think its called skijourning or something. I have the harness and the trails, I just need the skis!
  6. More snow...do I travel to the Sault tonight or wait for the early morning?

  7. Sure makes it feel like a community when people do nice deeds like that. Good stuff.
  8. CO's are out hard on Nipissing and they are sending out creel crews very shortly. Cops are out too, sometimes in tandem. I think everyone is gonna say the same thing .."tons of small walleye"
  9. Nice setup... glad to hear the slush isn't an issue... it has been here.
  10. Amazing fish and video. gawd I hope that happens to me some day. One of the comments says it was caught near Attikoken, ON.
  11. That's a good lookin' husky, leaf4! Ours is 100% outdoor, but everything is already covered in hair, including the back of my jeep haha. Buddy certainly has a mind of his own, he's very loyal and responsive, but in some situations the disconnect is obvious (like him knowing there are rabbits 100m from his house).
  12. Siberian Husky, 4yrs old, former sled dog, all shots/chips etc and I got him for $0. He was aggressive to the other sled dogs so the owner considered him a financial liability (vet bills), but he's a melted fondu with people. I needed something around the property and so far he's doing great, unleased 24hrs too!! He has a few traits that need to be worked on, like leaving my rabbits alone, better following the snowmachine and making sure he doesn't turn aggressive with food and strangers around, but other than that he's well behaved. He even followed me for 4kms off the lake yesterday and I was WAYYY ahead haha. ..and also my new Jeep. It was pretty good on the lake yesterday.
  13. If I wasn't already commited this weekend, I'd swing by for a visit.
  14. That's the kind of God/belief system I can respect! I believe in nature and the systems that operate/control it and that they control us too. There might be a God, but I think that any God is way beyond our capacity to ever define or comprehend. This is deep for OFC! haha. oh, and I also like Bill's god. hahaha. In trout we trust.
  15. Musky and smallies...well you have to start somewhere Welcome to the club. The mods are sleeping between 7pm and 7am, so make sure you edit your posts by around 6am.
  16. Welcome. Sounds like you'll be offering us some reports from abroad and throughout Canada.
  17. I rarely get to fish for 'bows, but I love reading them reports. Welcome
  18. nothing noteworthy? I'd say a 25 and 26.5" walleye are noteworthy!
  19. I stayed off the lakes this weekend for this very reason. A good freeze will cure all.
  20. great colors on those splake. Good luck on Temag!!
  21. You could just print up a trophy fish or every species and mount them... no need to ever fish again hahaha.
  22. Thanks Mike! I'll do this if I end up ordering directly from Ardisam. Canada post shipping on this part would cost very little. I'll let you know soon. that's a good idea... and it just happens I need a couple other things welded. Makes me wish I had one of those 3D printers, I could print one up myself.
  23. Ha! When I tell the story about how it broke, I exagerate and tell people she lined it up and just crushed it...hahaha. She hates that story. Might try that too...I'll first see if anyone comes through with a spare part.
