  1. Your truck is older than the OPs civic. My Corolla is actually two years old and are we not comparing new cars to old? Not sure I'm willing to wait ten years to post on this thread, nor do I have fast forwarding abiilities. Most two year old cars don't have over 100 000 problem free kms, I thought that was good input to show that some vehicles are still reliable and also have better technology. Plus I think corollas are generally considered winners when it comes to being good cars...just like the civics. And it has tons of airbags, electronic steering, abs , traction, stability, manumatic, goes 0-60kph in about 7.4 seconds.
  2. Sounds like a fun time... you guys did good, but not good enough
  3. I'll be watching. somebody broke into my truck the other day... stole a pack of smokes and loose change, yet left my tackle, rain suit, fishing gear. Lucky me; your friend/son, not so much.
  4. 2009 corolla xrs. 110 000kms. 3 sets of melted tires (love the ebrake) and not a single problem other than trucks backing into it. This is also the first year of a new model too. Here is your winner. Like others said, the safety features. Have added a lot of weight. And have you noticed that cars get bigger with every model change... Hence the honda fit replaces the civic
  5. Yes people live beyond their means... And if people stopped buying cell phones and cars and homes our economy would completely crumble and CEOs would still get their retirement packages and every one else in that company would be jobless.its sad when a whole worker base is dependent on one guy. There is definitely a problem with our society when a "successful" company is only the one that has a better quarter than the last. Apparently Blackberry is a failing company because they haven't grown 1000 percent in the last year?? I can't wait for the day that I can afford to live in seclusion, outside of society... I'm not the type to protest, I'm the type to escape. Everyone is annoying and crazy and selfish, just like me
  6. Sorry to hear about your losses Looks like your friend is using an Abu STX. How does he like it? Those ciscos look a lot like smelt...It's the first time I see ciscos in a photograph. Cool.
  7. Great report Jen! Gave me a good smile. Well done on the whitefish and lake trout, they are not always easy to catch. Its a good thing you didn't go this weekend... The weather has been terrible.
  8. Great report and nice size fish!
  9. If my cat had zits got zit juice on me, the only product I'd be looking to buy is a shovel. Gross
  10. Great fish Dave! Very impressive. If you hold it out just a little further you could use it to slap a few people.
  11. Maybe try a V6 ford F150 or other V6 full size models. It'll take your loads much better and won't strain as much. I bet the dealers are giving those away right now. As most have said, the four might leave you wanting more and the small truck V6/I5's are not great on gas.I wish they brought the australian/south american trucks our way. I have the B4000 and get 600kms Max on a 70litre tank, 100 percent highway. Send me to latchford for some back roading and that cuts to 450. I've driven the colorados before and they feel cheaper than even the Ranger twins.
  12. That musky is your white whale... Hope you get it some day. Your daughter won't have another fish fight like that for a while! Great walleye... 26.5 inches is huge
  13. 6 trout! I need to relearn how to count. Ok, I got the impression it was you guys eating the chipmunks... I have only tried squirrel. Haha
  14. Awesome report. The scenery/fish pics are amazing. What a great mix bag of species, especially the 5 trout species! Can u please clarify on the chipmunk dinner? Haha.
  15. No internet at home and work blocks utube! I wanna see, I wanna see. Haha.
  16. Great looking meal there! The whole garlic cloves are something else
  17. I'm a PHX/Jets fan... I'm used to disapointment and loss. Hahaha I still remember when Buf was at the top of their conference a few years ago and Connolly was a key player on that team. Looks like he might not have a chance to prove himself this year... But here's hoping he can get healthy.
  18. Yup, I defended him. Win some, lose some.
  19. NAW: Was that an OFC sponsored Coors? Put me down for 24!
  20. Why is there a huge red spot on your forehead? Its a shame to lose another species. I see nothing wrong with one person defending them, but their loss won't change anyones world. If we lost the emerald shiner more people would care because of its economic value. Still, this poor little dace at least deserves scientific recognition.
  21. Larger diameter guides will reduce any major ice build ups while using braided line. I've actually switched my ice lines back to mono just this year, as I found the braid absorbed too much water/ice and caused several incidents where the line completely froze to the spool or large ice beads would form at the water contact point, then get caught in the guides or the spool. I prefer braid in general, but during the winter I'm not a fan of it.
  22. A german sheppard or husky would probably pull a portable hut with minimal effort.
  23. Very cool! That would have made for some fantastic underwater footage.
  24. Sorry I forgot to mention all the great "perch in pocket" reports.
  25. Haha "...just bass." What a catch man! When fishing for musky do you recommend that I tip my 1/4oz jig with a worm?
