That was something to see. Thanks for sharing it with us!... and your input to the MNR is surely appreciated by all.

Here's a pic NipFisher

Wouldn't want to lose control on that one road fantastic photos and report. Thank you!

buy it now for a million and it should be worth 83 000 000 in 50 years.
-
what a wild game! I was blown away when it was 5-1 jets! let alone 9-8 This won't do any good for the goalies GAA.
-
that's like the two mouthed goldeye caught in Lake Athabasca. Maybe it's part of evolution? Three eyes are surely better than two.

I should have known they were upside down. Thanks! I've loaded them both with 12lbs Trilene XL. No more braid for me this winter...too much of hassle trying let line down or bring it up in -30. Now I have my two jigging rods, two tipups and two tackle boxes ready for winter. DANA: Haha I think i know which lake you speak of... I am also interested in finding out if it produces in winter as well. Just made sure you seperate your bought filets from your caught ones. CRAIG: You know what? It's down for a fire alarm test.... I'm testing my GF to see how long she'll leave the fire alarm hanging like that before she A. asks me to do it B. does it herself. hahaha. I'm not the one who tried to cook pizza with the CARDBOARD still on. LUC: hahaha Someday I'll show you how I practice my Trophy Musky hold.

CBC Radio had a good report about that two days ago. http://www.cbc.ca/thecurrent/episode/2011/10/25/a-fish-tale/ CO's barely have time to bust ACTUAL poachers, let alone someone how might have a confusing but legal freezer count. No worries buddy. The fishing regs are seperate from the consumer laws. Still, I'd suggest not bagging your purchase in freezer bags labelled "anima-nipissing walleye". Now if i find out you bought ten dozen walleye filets because they were "on sale" I might have some fun and call TIPS on ya.

I had the camera ready... but of course as soon as the bear moved they all jumped back a few steps haha.

It worked. He is the coolest person I know. I'm not too unlike the bear, eh Dana? Searching through trash... I don't think she found any perfectly good boat seats though. Maybe a few chicken wings...but definitly no boat seats.

After viewing Leechman's post in the thread "bait making", I immediately sent him a PM, praising him for the great looking tipups he builds himself and wondered if was interested in taking a small order, since these were exactly what I was looking for for this winter. He promptly accepted my request and began building me a pair of tipups! I just arrived from a couple days out of town and instead of completing my paperwork, or stopping at the office, I drove staight to the post office, picked up the package, drove home, my truck is still unlocked I think and opened his deliberate and tape intensive ( ) wrapping. Found: two perfect tipups! these things are even better in person. Very well crafted, they look durable (he's been doing it for 20years) and function perfectly. They have ball bearing (rattle) spools and adjustable sensitivity. the million dollar signature. I tied a snap swivel (cat bait) and yes, they work great! FISH ON! Thanks again Jacques... Jasmine likes them too! Now bring on some ice.

They eventually calmed down... I guess they worked early this morning. At one point one of the guys was getting too close for comfort as the bear was walking on top of the fence like an alley cat, he was trying to be macho... Even though there were no ladies to "impress". Made for some decent entertainment since the habs game was a disaster.

I did! I woke up three or four times and half expected to see winnie peeking through the curtains and when I left for work at 6am, I stuck my head out the door and looked both ways before I walked to my truck haha. I'm looking forward to my own bed tonight. Apparently the motel has already contacted the MNR. Hopefully the bear leads her cubs back into the bush where they belong.

If I were in Geraldton this would be a real option. I just looked up Bates Motel. The door is double locked, but I worry about the fragile, single-paned windows.
-
Too big for me to pet. Parry Sound.
-
This was taken outside my motel room. Apparently she's been harassing the garbage bin for some time now. Two cubs are close behind. I'll call the MNR tomorrow. If the guys next door keep drinking I might have some video as well.

Hey, you don't find if you don't rummage. I just might use it on the ice as well.

I'd hate to be a minnow with tanks like that swimming around!

Amazing quote from windsor police chief
Rod Caster replied to jedimaster's topic in General Discussion
I thought it was only your truck bumper that felt that way The general public won't miss this one bit. I don't own guns so I didn't have a personal vendetta for it, but its one less burden for the honest hunter/gun owner to deal with. -
Is it any worse than sitting on your concrete foam seat in your sportspal not catching brook trout? The day I get bored of any kind of fishing is the day I order a lobotomy haha.

this is mostly under Provincial control. The liberals and the OSC messed up already when Cliffs Resources took majority contol of the BiG Daddy deposit some time last year. The Government sat back while Cliffs bullied and paid off the small canadian exploration companies. Its pretty well all american owned now. I'm actually hopeful that the native groups will be positive influence on the this mining region.

Sounds like a great, low-stress trip! Bless the kindness of fishermen.

I used to prefer ice fishing because it gave me more access to waters. Now that I have a proper canoe setup, I'm probably closer to 50/50. Ice fishing is so much easier imo, drive/walk out, drill holes, enjoy day! Can't wait a certain pair of new tipups to knock at my door!
-
Haha Mauer. Darn paid duty must be cutting into your fishing time. But seriously, your input is appreciated here, 100%. To the op, wearing my seatbelt is instinct now... unless i"m on ice or in some trails. I don't understand why anybody wouldn't wear one on the road.

Nearly 1000 replies.... but we are still waiting for a fishing report.
