Yes, but I paid 140 for the Soron, the Supreme is on for 80... But since its the older generation at that price, I'll pass on it. I just thought it was a great deal.

Thanks for clarifying Dan. I've never used a Supreme XT, so I couldn't properly identify it just from the photo. That's one heck of a deal then. Maybe my Abu days are over.

I had a good one too. Spent the day with the gf on Temagami then Lowell lake. I completely skunked for lakers but I dont really care! Sun was out, temps were mild, snow fights were often haha. My only complaint is the traffic on Temag, but I solved that by going to another lake haha.

a great auger! Even easier is the 4.5" finbore III micro. A 7lbs walleye and some fair sized ling/pike will still fit. It would not work for big whitties though.

What a green slob that walleye is! Those matt tracks are awesome. We used them in the high arctic and they completly conquered the terrain.

I know these can be a PITA to find sometimes, so I figured I'd post the link. I picked up the 4.5" replacements for $21 plus shipping. This will be my "spare" for next season. I'm still in the market for a fenwick HMG, St-Croix or similar quality spinning rod. To Raycaster: there is lots of good fishing around here beyond Nip. For the 18th, I'd recommend Nosbonsing or Wasi for walleye.

They are actually a protected species so they have to be released.

Check out my last Nip Report, you'll see which one I use. Its made by Worek. It is deeply curved so it readily darts sideways. Anything similar will work with the same effect. I pull up very quickly about 12 inches and let it drop. Wait 5 seconds and do it again. I'll break the pattern every so often with a shake or a longer pull. This works great on Nipissing

I am in your shadow when it come to cooking skills... but since you asked. Pre-made alfredo sauce (make sure the last ingredient is Dimethylpolysiloxane) A bit of pre-made tomato sauce to make that "rose" colour Chunks of Walleye Mix thoroughtly and slather over whatever noodles are in your cupboards that are not yet stale. Serve with garlic bread and asperagus. I looked up that Dimethyl crap and I wasn't too impressed, considering it's also used as a viscosity treatment in plastics... next time I'll make the sauce myself. I'm actually a "decent" cook, but I tend to make things with a strong bachelor-twist when I'm short on time. Honestly, I was a little embarassed typing this recipe.
