Dropped off the kids and wanted to get the wife out for some of these night action largies. Managed to get to a spot for 8:00pm and found if very tough to stay in a good position due to the winds.... It figures that the night I finally get her out the fishing sucks... Anyways, only one fish caught tonight and it is my new PB largie. Thought I had a big sheepie on until it did some spectacular tail walking and then took me under the boat again and again. Great scrappy fish... Any guess on weight? We decided to come into the channel to get away from the wind but it was not much better. Fished for a few minutes until I heard my wife freaking out because there were bats flying around and hitting our lines every cast. Very cool I thought. Then one hits the boat and gets stuck on the bumper line. Wife is now losing her mind while this bats screams away. Here is the pic So I get this thing unhooked and it keeps shaking away and making noise. After taking a closer look seems there are two bats and they are making SWEET LOVE! The male was just chomping and chewing on the females scruff of her neck and pounding away like nobody's business. That bat is the KING in my books now! Was going for about 20 minutes straight full out! Here is a video clip too. http://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n160/Sh...nt=CIMG0765.flv Decided to call it a night and as I am putting the boat on the trailer the male finished up and comes after me. Almost hit me in the face about 5 times until I ran off the dock and the dangg thing takes after me into the parking lot. Finally after the female took off the male left me alone so I could get the boat tied down and head home. Was a fun night for sure.. Sherriff

I recall a thread to basically resolve the issue about fishing within a marina. Who owns the water and can they legally kick you out if you are fishing from a boat and not bouncing jigs off anything...Basically just being a responsible boater and fisherman and doing no harm. Any help would be great. Thanks Sherriff

Have been getting out lately at night with a buddy and managed to get into some nice largies. All caught on Senkos of various colours. Man it's a blast night fishing and waiting to set the hook when these guys are nibblin on the bait.... Here are a few pics. Then particiapted in the Lift Bridge Salmon Tourney on Sunday. Had good numbers but nothing big enough for the $'s. Still a great time. Here's one of the salmon....... A great weekend of fishing... Sherriff

Truly a helpless feeling and an adrenalin rush at the same time. Can't get enough of it... Sherriff -
Always a good time watching at the launch. I sometimes eat my lunch down at the launch just for the good times. It is amazing how difficult people make it. Everyone should get their system down and do it by themselves to make it more efficient. Always seems the idiots that cannot launch properly are the ones who could care less about anyone else waiting.. Good report too.... Sherriff

Way to go. Some serious action there. Sherriff

Mine was a pain until recently when someone told me how to deploy it. Not sure if it is the same issue you are having. Try this: One hand on the grib clip thingy, the other hand on the shaft just down from the head part of the trolling motor. As you hold the clip open, push down slightly and forward on the shaft. Mine works flawlessly now. I use to try and deploy it by wiggling the prop part out of the holder and it was nearly impossible. Now it slips right out everytime.. Sherriff

Finally getting up to Pigeon Lake for two days. Really looking forward to this trip. Anyone know what the effects of this cold spell could do to the fish? Move them deeper/shallow?? We are targetting walleye, bass and may even try for my first ski.... Thanks Sherriff

Amazing place Solo. Great report... Sherriff

Looks very nice. Great job. Not sure if I missed it or not but I would put a bilge in her if I were you. My brother added one to his and it was an easy addition as well as not too much $'s. Just added safety too... Sherriff

Great idea Banger. Something I will put to use when I buy a new deep cycle shortly.... Obviously I cannot find the receipt.... Sherriff
-
Thanks for all the advice. Well, turns out it is one of the batteries. I picked up a digi volt meter and after a full night on the 3 bank charger, the cranking battery is showing 13.something, one deep cycle is 13. something and the other deep cycle is showing 11 ish. So this one must be the problem..... Will look for the receipt. Should still be under warranty..... Thanks Sherriff
