  1. Headed out over the last few days with some friends to the Niagara Bar for Lakers. Was a tough go with the poor weather and the river was in rough shape. Tried out by the bar but was getting too rough. Headed in to the river for some drifts. I landed a bow after many, many drifts and re ties..... Next up Joe landed a nice brown..Looks like a bow in these pics though, maybe it was a bow.... Close to calling it a day I landed my first Laker! Was truly surprising how strong these fish are and how they can stay on the bottom. I thought I had an anchor on at first.... Was a great time out there with great folks. Just wish the results had been better... Sherriff

  5. Just a question about painting. I am changing all my doors in my place. They are all primmed but need two coats it seems to get a good coverage. I have a compressor and a paint sprayer and I wanted to know if I use the sprayer, will I need to thin the paint down a little. Also, has anyone tried this and had good results with latex paint? I hate painting these doors and wanted to make the process a little faster and easier... Thanks Sherriff
  6. Was a good time Nug. I am an idiot however. I was so excited to get out there I did not bring a jacket, a rain suit or anything to protect me from the elements. Dumbass = ME! Until next time Andy. Sherriff

  12. Hit the Grand with my brother and Fish4Life on Sunday hoping to chase some walleye. Weather was beautiful and we could hardly believe it was November. Met Ned (Fish4Life) in Hamilton and headed to the launch. Ned has some really unique launching methods and here is a picture of him performing some Cirque de Soleil routine on the trunk of his car. After warming the the motor we were off to the dam. Not many boats out, maybe 3 all day and a few shore fisherman chucking jigs and minnows.. The water was clearer that I have ever seen the grand. About 2-3 foot visability. Slight wind. Not much action at all for almost and hour. We were using jigs and twister tails or jig and worm. Also throwing the odd crank bait. I decided to switch up and was rewarded with this nice little eye. My first Grand walleye. Ned enjoying the day out and getting his SKUNK on.... About 20 minutes later, another little eye for me......... We stuck it out a little longer and decided to try something else further down the river. My brother Jamie managed this carp but that was it for the day. Here is Ned holding Jamie's carp and Jamie describing the Leafs this season. We headed back to try the dam but it is a tough place to fish...Did not see anyone else catch any eyes or anything for that matter all day.... Was great to get out and wet a line again. Been too long for me. Thanks to Ned for setting up this day out. Had a blast and will do it again soon..... Sherriff
