  5. The bay has had a bad history so Some must think that they are constantly dumping crap into the bay without a care in the world like a 100 years ago. The cso tanks are helping for sure and I understand that the treated wastewater is put back into the lake cleaner than before it was taken.. Good news for the bay and lake O. Again, it's great to see. Sherriff
  6. Great news. Hope they survive, stick around and end up being like Quinte sized walleye! Really hope to see the harbour delisted in my lifetime. Great work done so far by BARC and the City to help clean up the bay! Sherriff
  7. I just cannot understand the government or whoever decides on theses sorts of decisions, letting this happen. Great place to camp and enjoy a great unspoiled island... What about getting fresh water, sewer systems and power to the island. Seems like a huge deal cost wise and the negative effects on nature in the area. Hope it never happens.... Agreed that the government shoulda snapped it up to keep it as is.. Sherriff

  12. I rented a houseboat on Pigeon as well. Caught my first Ski trolling from the back of the houseboat. As others have said, drop a line when you stop or chuck a line out back. Good luck and enjoy! Sherriff

  14. Be careful where you buy the sand that is in the grout, it may have sand lice and/or ticks... Sherriff
  15. I have the same brand as Drifter (from Cantire) and as mentioned, has a 5yr warranty which is awesome. Mastercraft Nautilus 15A Onboard Battery Charger I had a Bass Pro brand that only lasted 3 years and at $300.00 with only a 2 year warranty, that hurt the wallet. I enjoy just plugging in the boat when I get home and know it is ready to go anytime I am. Sherriff
  16. Ha ha, far from it. Just was hidden for many years and now must go. Sherriff

  20. Anyone have any clue what this item is? It's been in my garage for years now (12) and was in my grand parents garage since I can remember. Made in England, has air connections and gas burner and a gas type connection. Here is the complete item all together Here is the base with a burner in it Inside Base showing burner Here is the inside portion, top removed and pulled out of the base Close up of the gauge Another gauge shot Thanks for any info on it... Sherriff
  21. If I am reading the regs correctly, Lake Dalrymple is open all year for Pike. Does anyone know if this is the first year for an open season on pike fishing on Dalrymple? Thanks Sherriff
  22. Thanks for all the input folks. The keyway is in and fine. I pulled everything apart a few times and checked... I am almost 100% sure I have the impellor in the correct way. From what I read and from the pics in my manual, it should have the splines turned to the left and the impellor will turn clockwise. What Wayne mentioned makes sense to me. There is a thermostat right at the pee hose so I think I will take that apart and make sure I am getting water at least to the thermostat and I can also check that it is functioning. The water was very cold. So cold in fact that it had a layer of ice on it this morning.... I'll keep ya posted Thanks Sherriff
  23. I think I found my answer for the exhaust milky stuff. The milky residue has 2 sources: 1) Unburnt fuel mixed with water will drip down from inside the exhaust tower. This is more prevalent with cold engines (on choke) or those run in cold water. 2) From the lower unit, coming out a seal - propshaft, rear hub carrier, driveshaft, shift shaft or filler screw. Sherriff
  24. Ah, never thought of the thermostat Wayne. I'll check tomorrow night. Also, the old impeller was fine but I had no clue when it was done by the previous owner so I did it just because. Wish I hadn't touched it now...LOL Thanks Also, I did notice that there was a lot of milky discharge from the exhaust ports and when I pulled the lower unit off, the exhaust area was very oily and milky. Could this just be fogging or too much oil mixture? Thanks Sherriff
