  1. The Kazan is beautiful, I did a trip when was just a little guy with my dad up at the main lodge. We ook the float plane to check out the Kazan for a day, and the most Memorable thing about it (other than the amazing greyling fishery) was sitting for shore lunch, glancing over to the water and seeing a 20+lb laker crusing by 2 feet from shore.
  2. Thanks guys, I'll look into those sources. What i need is a few pieces to the throttle, and shift linkage setup on a tiller shift merc, and some basic maintenance parts like an impeller.
  3. Hey all, I am setting up a tinny with a 20 merc, and I need to get a few parts to get the motor up and running properly. I was going to order parts online, however if anyone here has a favorite marina/dealer that you trust, and know are honest price wise, I would love to hear it. I would honestly rather support a local business if I can, as long as pricing is competative with other places I have found. Thanks guys
  4. With river fishing I personally get annoyed when someone hooks into a sizable fish, and they are afraid to put any real pressure on the fish. I mean, I know it was my choice to combat fish a certain part of a river, and i am happy to see others hook into fish, but "fighting" a average sized salmon for half an hour is ridiculous, if everyone is courteous enough to stop casting while you have a fish on, the least you can do to thank them is land the fish quickly, so they can keep casting. Then again, this summer I was with my pops on a boat, while using a ul setup with a grub for smallies, a decent sized pike decided it was lunch time. I was using 6lb braid and flouro leader at the time and let me tell you, that was a fun fight. In a way I guess it comes down to who you are fishing with, and who the length of the fight affects. If the situation calls for it, I will do everything in my power to land a fish as quickly and efficiently as I can.
  5. Some guys make a T bracket with some pieces of hockey stick, mounting the transducer at the bottom of the T, just make suet the top part is wider than the hole you are planning on drilling
  6. My ul rod that has served me quite well is a 6'6" diawa spinmatic, picked it up for like 35$ at lebaron. Last week I had it doubled over fighting a 6lb pike lol, good times
  7. I havnt had good luck with the spool of nano I bought, it frays and gets damaged so easily that I'm gonna pull it off my reel tonight and replace it with power pro. I'm sure nano has its place, but that place is not on my setup
  8. Depending on how soon you need them, etackle is another great option. There was actually a threadabout these last week with a few other places that would have them if bass pro happens to sell out before you get there
  9. I didn't see them when I went to the vaughn location, but they were right at the top of the stairs at burlington, full display of the saltys and the single clamp model
  10. I got a pair at sail in burlington, 35$ each, a few weeks ago
  11. I picked up 2 of these, they seem nice for the price, my only issue is my dad seems to have taken posession of one of them,
  12. This thread remindes me to replace my 4" rapala, it seems to have snuck out of my pack on a fishing trip at some point
  13. Ahh the good old pencil lead in the palm, mine was from goofing off in class, I think I was stabbing an eraser and the pencil slipped. Yes it was in grade 2 lol
  14. I wish i didn't have to work those days, that's for sure. For anyone available these days, i highly recommend you take Dave up on his generous offer
  15. The way they hook into you clothes right against your skin is the worst! Getting bit multiple times, and seeing nothing when you check the area, then finding one sneaky one on the inside of your cuff is annoying to say the least
  16. Nice report, but is it just me, or does the last pic look like an Atlantic?
  17. Hmm looks like a big scud, that sopt shrimp however looks delicious
  18. The amount of black ice in the city is insane, stick to the main roads if you can, at least they get salted
  19. I guess it's time to bring a thermos, that's enough coffee for the whole day
  20. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the Finn bore micro?
  21. Awesome offer, if you were closer to Toronto, I would take you up on your offer, just got my first sled this year, a 1997 Polaris Indy 500. I was so excited, but with the lack of snow, I'm getting stir crazy here lol.
  22. Anyone have a pic of the mods I would need to make to a buddy heater to cook/ warm food? I have one but would like to have an idea of what needs to be done to it before I start breaking it apart
  23. I went to a crappy tire today to renew mine, and they had absolutely NONE of the stuff to do it, what a joke. How does the mar expect ppl to stay legal if they don't issue renewal tags before the beginning of the new year. I guess my best bet would be to renew everything online
  24. Hey Dann, that m68 isnt the portable ice machine, it looks like is just the head unit, base and probably a transducer for mounting on a boat.
  25. I find a bathtub works best when using the soap method, it's easy to rinse them up afterwards, and you might even get rid of the smell that most waders accumulate lol. If any of these methods can't pinpoint the leak, try flipping them inside out and check again
