Wouldn't it be illegal in the sense that by rehooking it on a different line, you are using it as bait, which is illegal considering that bass are game fish? Sure, there's no "intention" but the way that it's been presented it can pass as being used as bait.

What he did was wrong and while I don't know if it's illegal, he should be frowned upon as doing that only decreases the fishes chance of survival, unless he was keeping a baby bass?

If you don't want to download anything, run this online virus scanner. It has worked for me in the past. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Be sure to run it in IE though, it won't work on Firefox if I'm correct. It's a good scanner, whatever you can't remove you can find a special program to remove a specific trojan/virus/worm that Trend Micro will detect. From the anti virus scanner suggested above, go with Avast, I've never used Avira but Avast constantly updates and its been good for me. AVG is overrated.

Given OPs post, he can't store it and the long term cost of storing an aluminum would pile up. At least with an inflatable he could have it on the go (rather than first driving to the storage, and then heading off). Inflatables aren't that dangerous, hypalon is a very strong and resistant material.
