Yep, the problem is I don't have my G license, or a car. For now I generally fish at a local pond, it's nice but annoying when a random kids runs out of no where and throws a rock where you're fishing at. Luckily in the summer we spend a lot of time at Provincial Parks, and many of the areas don't have many people, plus we own a boat.

IMO it's either dogs or kids. Stupid dogs be swimming in the waters I be fishin'. Or stupid kids be throwin' rocks because "hurr it splashes." I mean if you're going to be taking your children out for a stroll by the local pond, atleast teach them some basic respect for the people around them (or keep a close eye on them). Kids + dogs = unfishable waters. This only applies to ignorant owners/parents, I've come across awesome dogs and calm children.

That's pretty awesome, I've only seen one episode and its with him kayak fishing and catching rainbows in central ontario. Always great to see shows filming areas not too far from home.

Don't place it in vinegar, it'll make it all rubbery, I think.

When I was at Algonquin there was one that checked all the fishermen there.

To all those that live in the most ossim spot evar: Imagine a masked man with a cape breaks into your home and threatens the well-being of your family, and promises to leave you all alone if you move to another location and never look back. Where would you go, taking into account you are well off and want the best fishing ever.

If you had the option of relocating to another area based on awesome fishing, where would it be? I would probably move to North Western Ontario near Lake Superior, that way I'd have access to tribs that produce steelhead/salmon, and be near tons of awesome lakes that hardly ever receive any fishing pressure. Also I'd be a fair distance from Lake of the Woods.

I have learned a good amount of info on this site. It's also great to find a report on a body of water you are interested in checking out, as well has learning about new places.

I suppose you can get a solution of something that worms hate, kind of how a post here suggests to mix mustard powder with water.

Well it started snowing while I was out so I'm guessing it was a bit chilly. I'll just wait til the next shower, or go look by the river.

This will work. Do they just randomly come out at random places of the field, or would they congregate around the poles, trees, etc?

Where should I focus my search on, as in beside trees where the soil is softer, or what (I don't have a backyard).

Nope. I have some kielbasa, but then again I don't know if I'd want to waste some good old kielbasa.

Backyard doesn't apply to me as I live in a highrise apartment. I cross through a small park each day when I come home so I might check that out.

Taking a friend fishing who barely does, going with the good old plentiful bluegill. I'm too lazy to go out and get worms (even though they should be coming out because of the rain) and I'm too lazy to drive to the store, so I'm making doughbait. I need something for scent, mind you, I'm not going to buy things because then I would just buy worms. I have vinegar, coffee powder, honey, pancake syrup, cinnamon, vegeta, horseradish sauce, and a few different kinds of cheese. And I'm pretty low on flour, so this is only a one shot thing.

From what I've read in another thread, the Kawarthas are on fire.
