  1. Thanks for your insights Bruce……happy perch hunting and merry Xmas to you and family.
  2. Yup…awesome little helpers! I actually have the line between my thumb and forefinger as it comes through the bottom eye., this puts the tension on it so it is actually spooled pretty tight.
  3. Oh dear, this sounds like a Sarah Palin presidential campaign advert!
  4. Hi all, gotta say i'm loving the time off work, getting to spend so much time with my son is AWESOME. He helped me fix the eye of an old Ugly stick this morning, then helped spool up the 30lb braid for some holiday barracuda action! He was really enjoying it….as was I! Who needs a berkely line filling station when you have SUPER JACK!
  5. Did someone just say ';rape' and 'pillage'?
  6. LOL…my favourite line from that Pink Floyd song!
  7. AMEN! And while i am at it i am going to record some self aggrandizing footage of my exploits with my GoPro.
  8. Damn right i hurt your feelings….lol.
  9. Holy smokes…you gotta a sweet deal on that. ENJOY!
  10. great stuff Rich.
  11. Me too…i want a drone for my GoPro this xmas.
  12. I'm sure the +30C temps and standing eating mangoes waist deep in the clear, warm sea will work wonders for my rehab….cant wait!!!
  13. Thanks man…not able to put a beating on them like your crappie….but was good fun even though it was ridiculously chilly. Getting old i think. Yup it was chilly, did not seem that cold out until about 2pm, even before the sun had dropped too far it was brass monkeys out there. LOL…thats a good excuse…i'll use that. Thanks Pidge…needs to warm up a bit. Actually my jigging arm is fine…..jig with my right arm….its my left elbow. Works good to just reel with my arm extended pointing at the hole
  14. Well done Team 5….very impressive catches indeed…….52" MUSKY?!??!!!!
  15. Hi all, Finally got out on the ice, it was around -28C, lucky there was no wind. Arrived at around 2:30pm Put only one on the ice and missed a whole bunch Froze our behinds off till the bitter end, would do it again in a heartbeat! The slush out there was horrendous….REALLY BAD….my buddy got stuck before we had wet a line. Missed a couple of big ones….and littler ones…..line freeze/stuck bail arms/bad luck etc…etc.. Got stopped by a CO on the way out, good guy named Colin, he had a hard time believing we only had 1 fish to take home, but he knows us pretty well and took our word for it without searching (probably to cold to be bothered more like…lol). Never been that much of a fan of walleye fishing in the winter, but was awesome to get out after almost 4 weeks of elbow rehab!!!! Tight lines all.
  16. Exactly what lego does, which is what I went into T'r'U for.
  17. Roloff……LOL…good one.
  18. Hi all, Cant wait till i have a bit of strength in my elbow again….my buddy scooted across the lake to visit and all i could do was watch with my GoPro Cool to watch though :santa:
  19. i have an older otter…still going strong…awesome gear.
  20. Truth
  21. i am just amazed how close people drive behind one another at speed in this country…..even worse than France!!! I always remember this from my driving test…….315 feet is safe stopping distance at 112kmh…..probably need to add at least 50% to that in the snow/wet.
  22. From what i can tell it they are pretty similar units spec wise. The difference for me would come down to what map chips were available for the 2 units. Another more recent development that has me looking at HB more than Lowrance( I love my Lowrances) is that HB and Minn Kota are in cahoots and their systems compatible( see new i-Pilot)
  23. ?Its always an hour out here.
