  1. thats what i mean….one day…someone will dig it/frack it/drill it off of or out of the ground if its there, Cliffs will be back when it starts if there is money to be made.
  2. this was when Jack was almost 2 years old…. sharing jokes with the boys, jigging for 'eyes.
  3. My brother-in-laws place at Half Moon Bay, its in the St.Phillip's area on the east side of the island.
  4. i thought long and hard about getting one of those. They are not 'Lite" at all, and as someone else mentioned……a bit dull and slow…but hey…my neighbour loves his and towed my sorry butt off the ice when my sled went KABOOM. What terrain and use mostly? The machine will have warranty and sitting there won't harm it.
  5. This is really cool I didn't realize I had speech to text on my computer .
  6. Hi all. Just wondering what you guys who fish while wading use to carry your tackle. I am wanting a vest type arrangement that sits high on your chest so you can be at least waste deep. Will need to hold a couple of 4"x2" clam style tackle boxes, and an assortment….possibly unto 15 hard baits, pliers/line/wire traces etc…etc. Needs to be lightweight…or at least not heavy material as it will be roasting hot where i am using it…..any suggestions would give me a starting point for a targeted online search. Thanks.
  7. set your speed, even use cruise control if need be, employ enhanced auto pilot and aim at desired heading, if you feel more comfortable using the foot pedal you can use it in conjunction with remote( you can't do that right out of the box with a PD)., but at those settings unless your shoreline is the worst rock hazard/zigzag you won't need more than a quick press of a button to change course (less than a second) and if it is…well use the foot pedal for the first run….while doing this follow instructions to start and stop recording a track and bingo…there ya go. I would say though that just using the settings above, and the ability to use spot lock at any given time means i never use the foot pedal anymore, and i can move about the boat at will, chew gum and pat my head at the same time, fish and make homemade perogies on the middle bench seat while holding a conversation in chinese mandarin, at night and still be slamming fish! The new I-pilot i hear you don't even need to do that,if you have a hummingbird fish finder it will follow contours on your map chip right away……NOW THATS CHEATING!!!!! LOVE IT!!!
  8. money talks…if Cliffs thinks it can make a profit…they will be back, sounds to me like blackmail…play our way or we leave. Sucks for the families who lose their jobs….my family has suffered this twice this year…..but i agree with Chad.
  9. AWESOME DAN. i am off work till January 5th…so really most days between 8am and 3:30pm works for me.
  10. Hi all, just wondering how to remove a top guide on a rod….the ceramic has popped out on both my uglysticks and i wanna replace with new ones.
  11. Thanks for the lure tips Mosquito… I have been there quite a few times….have a bag of homemade wire traces from previous trips all ready to rock and roll. I have about 4 or five shore marks i always hit up, lots of those little barracuda and Trevalli jack on those top waters….lots of fun. Will definitely get a white 'walk the dog" type lure now…..thanks for the tip. I found topwater chug bugs into the surf break on one beach deadly for Snook….I think snook look a bit like walleye around the head area….dontcha think?
  12. Yup…get it…i'll have it if you don't want it!
  13. at home, operation successful, general anaesthetic is an experience for sure!

  14. WICKED Steve! inspired, impressed and JEALOUS all at once! Great pics and recap….what an awesome year!!!!! Lend me $100
  15. Like i said Cliff…..if its all above board the guy did right by me…….but my gut is telling me there is something fishy going on and it aint a walleye supper!!! Like so many have pointed out already on this thread…..the guy could have handled it better….but i am as happy as can be expected in this crappy situation with the compromise that was reached. BUT….first the pull cord….then the STOP mechanism….when i absolutely….one thousand percent 1000% know these were working fine 20 minutes before he had it and then both go wrong within seconds of getting it home…hmmmmmmm coincidence…yup…maybe..BUT I DONT BUY IT. (lol…I guess i did buy it already for $500). Anyway…..is it the most important thing in my life….NO ….is it annoying….yes I have other things to worry about this morning…going for surgery in 2 hours……LOL…hope they do a better job on my elbow than he did with the snowblower!!!!! Cliff i do want to Thank you for your input ….it did help me adjust how i eventually approached the situation as you helped me step back and see it from his side a little bit…..and in the end the approach i took helped resolve the situation somewhat.
  16. Hi all, As not to break the bank, i have been buying a lure or two a week for a few weeks now to stock up for a trip to the caribbean…..its starting to look good!
  17. Thanks Art….no need to apologize. Its been one of those days….had to trailer my snow machine to Kenora today…..whole other bunch of attitude from the owner…whole other story lol….then a 2 hour drive back again to talk with Tom….my whole day has been filled with strife with small engine mechanics Oh well….in the grand scheme of things this is SOD ALL….NADA….NUFFINK……but its been a day to forget…. i have a strangely sore behind and a hole in my bank account to show for it!
