  1. It will troll fine but will shake and be smelly. You will use a lot more fuel then the 4 stroke though. Overall the 25 two stroke is a great motor. My cousin has well over 2000 hours on his.
  2. Very nice fish. Looks like you guys had good weather also.
  3. If you have a trolling plate on the boat, drilling a hole in the plate the same size as the prop hub will allow for better steering and stop exhaust from being sucked back into the engine. Will not affect slowing the boat down.
  4. There is lakers not far from bala as well many other fish. Don't be afraid to try there. Everyone fish's joe, Muskoka has good fishing as well. Some nice size fish there as well. Ice should be good, I was on the ice a month a go in bala bay. Try and find the deeper water in bala bay and you should catch some.
  5. The Source sells them. Bought one the other day. http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=Specialty+Batteries&product=2318250
  6. If your charging deep cycle batteries you want a charger with a slower charge rate. Deep cycles are spose to be charged slow or you will kill the life of the battery. Starting batteries can be charged at a higher rate. I see many batteries killed every year because of this.
  7. Why would you leave a portable hut out over night where lots of people fish. I don't know why people can't leave things alone but you cannot trust people anymore.
  8. I will still run them out of fuel. I drain the carbs on the sled also and 2 stroke outboard motors. Have never had a problem and been doing this for years. The material used in diaphrams now is better then what it used it be. When you buy a auger it has no gas in it and it could of sat on the shelf for 2 years or in a warehouse and they are still fine. Its up to the person but with the gas now days why would you want a few litres of gas sitting in the tank. They say that gas now days only holds it octane rating for 3 weeks now, this is coming from the mercury course I just took. Stablizer helps it to stay longer. The sta-bil brand stabilizer is not the best there is out there. Its made up of alcohol which does not help with ethonal separtion. Mercury stabilizer is not made up from achohol.
  9. I run mine out of gas everyfall. Doing this the carb will not gum up. Put stabilizer in the gas also. No problems yet with mine. Use only high test gas and a good high quality 2 stroke oil also.
  10. Not even close to a 100 guys. Has been hit and miss out there. Slowing down now.
  11. If your using it in the open it is junk, other braids are better, Seems to coil easly in the cold, took it off after one use.
  12. I have tried all of the riggers out there. I have cannons now. I like using the scotty's also. The brute big johns are good and fast also but you pay a lot more then the normal big john. The normal electric big johns are very slow when using a 12lb ball. Walkers are ok but have over priced themselves for what they are. I would go with cannons or scotty's and both can be fixed in ontario.
  13. If you put at V notch on the tip of the point it will chip the ice better. Did that with mine and works great.
  14. They don't make the otterbox defender for the galaxy sII, at least for the bell one. I have the otterbox commuter case for mine and works great. I bought the I shields screen protector also for it.
  15. I have the sunflower style heater and works very well. I have a 5 and 10 lb tank. I bought them at a Bracebridge propane. They are reconditioned ones, they just put a new valve in them. Much cheaper then a new tank. I'm sure any propane place that sells propane and tanks should have them. My 10lb tank is tall and hard to tip over, the bottom ring is as wide as the tank. The tank is 30 years old though, new valve and some fresh paint and it looks like new. Depends on the make of them tank, some are shaped different.
  16. I have the jiffy with the stealth blades. Been reopening holes for the last 3 winters with it and still the first set of blades on it. Doesn't care that you are opening old holes, cuts through no problem. Most auger you shouldn't but the jiffy's you can and not hurt them. You meet find that it is a lot of work to move the hut a few feet if you have snow and slush.
  17. Saw a couple of the fatfish huts at bracebridge CT today.
  18. How big are the holes in the hut, you want them a fair bit bigger then your auger. When you need to re open the holes after they freeze up you don't always drill straight.
  19. Was out in a boat today on lake muskoka. Lake is starting to freeze up around the muskoka river up to indian head marina, going to be awhile if we get the snow they are calling for.
  20. I have have the Samsung Galaxy S 2 and like it very much. I bought the otter box for it and seems to very durable with it on it.
  21. No ice yet on the big lakes up here. Going to be a while untill we have good ice on the big lakes. Big fisher it says your from bracebridge, do you not drive around and look at the lakes yourself?
  22. Going to put the price of minnows up in the area past gravenhurst. Does this mean lake erie shinners can be sold in around simcoe now?
  23. Bombardier 4 strokes were suzuki's. Just different colour and stickers Johnsons are no longer made.
  24. I use 10w30 merc oil in my 140hp suzuki. Johnson four strokes are suzuki's. Merc uses 10w30 in most of there outboards untill you get into the Verado's. I work at a marina so I get the oil next to nothing, Have not had a problem with the motor and put about 150hrs a year on it.
  25. Bak Flip covers fold up against the back window. I have the extang solid tri fold but like the Bakflip cover on my parents truck better. www.bakfliptonneaucover.com
