  1. From what I'm reading. It's saying can't discard bait fish into water. Cleaning fish and put guts into water may not be classified as bait. Would have to ask a CO.
  2. Hopefully people only go if they live in the area. Fish alone or with people they live with or I'm sure it will be shut down like many others.
  3. Hopefully people that are going out to fish are doing it in the area they live in. Not driving hours. Stay local so you don't ruin it for the ones that can fish local.
  4. I believe it doesn't open till Saturday February 15th.
  5. Using a license plate cover seems to help. Shouldn't have to though.
  6. If you push on the motor does the transom move. If so the wood could be rotten causing the aluminum to flex to much.
  7. The dealer is should be doing PDI on the trailer before it is sold.
  8. They both look stocked. Looks like a adipose is clipped on the right one. Could be just be just the pic not showing it well.
  9. I put chains on my yamaha grizzly 700 it will go through a lot of snow now. I have the stock tires on it still. I only put them on the back tires.
  10. The grease nipple nut work well but don't use grease in it. It will make the steering stiff in cold weather cause the grease will stiffen up and can cause hard steering. Use more of a oil grease mixture if you can.
  11. Its around 20 hours from Toronto. That's if weather is good and you only stop when you need gas.
  12. Most of the time on lunds you can raise the outboard to second hole. I have a lund fury it came lowest hole. I raised it one hole. Got a bit more top speed. Cavitation plate can be level with bottom of hull.
  13. If you don't have to pull anything behind you are better off. The smaller narrow sleighs tend to flip on there sides. The cargo rack is a better idea but would need to rig up some kind of mud flap to stop snow and slush from covering your stuff. You will be able to travel faster down the lake also. If you get in deep snow and slush the sleigh can bog you down faster.
  14. Its a small light boat. It will be a rough ride in a two foot chop if you go fast.
  15. Shouldn't have to prime the bulb on a efi system. Most likely a overflow.
  16. Its a good temporary knot but will pull the knot tight over time and you have a fair bit of slack in the rope and boat may move around more then you want.
  17. Mercury does not recommended a primer bulb due to the engine having no mechanical float. If you never use the primer bulb you would be fine. I believe on the 150hp efi (non verado) has no water separator on the motor. There is a water seprator fuel filter kit for that engine that is a add on. As a certified mercury tech I recommended the water separator as neither outboard have a water separator built into them especially the crappy ethanol in the fuel these days. Just need to replace a spin on filter once a year.
  18. Don't add a primer ball to the fuel line on the 150. Priming them can ruin the fuel pump canister. As BillM said adding water separator is the easiest to hook up fuel lines. The filters on the motors are really just fuel filters not water separators. I install many water separators on four stroke engines at work.
  19. I wonder when it will air on Canadian tv. Looked at my guide for April 5 and nowhere to be found. The Canadian animal plant is different then US one. Normally its on discovery channel here. I think we will have to wait a bit for it to air here. Hope I'm wrong though.
  20. Mobile marine are good people to deal with. Most motors from around Huntsville, Muskoka area are used at the cottage and not used much. Ask what kind of boat it came off of also. They may be able to work on price a bit. Price seems fair though.
  21. Len Thompson five of diamonds. Catches everything and is cheap to buy.
  22. Is that a skin mount nipfisher? Nice looking mount. Mine is going to be a skin mount. Not the longest pike I have caught but largest through the ice. I'm sure it had a lake trout in its gut. I will take a picture of the mount post it on here once I get it back.
  23. Caught this pike last winter fishing for walleye with 8lb test and small minnow fishing alone. Had a hell of a time getting its head started in the hole. Was 43.5 inches long and weighed 24.5lbs. Its getting mounted, hope to get it back soon.
  24. Mostly open water on lake muskoka. I would not count on walking on muskoka for at least another week. Been to windy here for ice to forum. I hope we don't get the snow they are calling for. I drove by the lake yesturday and very little ice. Small lakes that were froze back in November should be okay.
