  1. Maybe this has something to do wit it? This is from my grandpa's place. He was not a drinker and this cup held toothpicks. It is called the Fisherman's Nite Cap
  2. I think they whitened the anglers teeth too . Photoshop is lame.
  3. Hey Leafland, Here are the snow depth readings and water content readings as of today. Looks promissing. I have a trailer on Lake Nipissing and my boat was supposed to be docked all season but it sat in my driveway instead.
  4. Simon, You can't catch big fish with camo gloves???? Where were Pinkies? lol
  5. I voted.
  6. My 2nd time setting up it took me 26 minutes all by myself. I figure it will be about 15-20 when I do it the right way
  7. I think some of your slow days would be more fun then our busy ones. Great fishing.
  8. Hey ATV, I have a 9' Quicksilver inflatable with a break down wooden floor. I got it used last year and was only in it once with a 4hp Johnson with the built in tank. This year I picked up a 1984 Evinrude 8hp (rated for up to 9.9hp) with a remote tank and enough hose to put the tank up front. When mine is all rolled up the boat, pumps (12 volt and foot,) and oars can all fit in a large hockey bag. Too heavy to carry but it fits on the back rack of my 4-wheeler better inside the bag with the floor on the rack and the motor on top of the bag. They are made tough and would be no problem to launch even if you had to slide it down a bank. Mine has 4 separate chambers so if you did get a hole you still would likly not sink. You may find it a bit difficult to fish from as the seats are high up on the walls. Nice and stable and handles well if it has an inflatable keel. Not sure I would run a 35hp on it even though it is 13' long, until you plane out if feels like you are going to flip backwards. 9.9 will be a good start but it will push alot of water with 3 people in it. I'd suggest buying both then flipping the motor and upgrade to a 15hp - 20hp two stroke if you are more comfortable with them. Check out youtube and there are lots of videos on them if you search zodiac or quicksilver.
  9. You'll just need one of them fancy adaptors I've heard so much about. Sorry couldn't resist
  10. I thought it was a beaver?
  11. Thanks for the info. I really don't neeed the extra power or speed right now and couldn't afford the upgrade at this time. Just rebuilt my trim motor with new check valves, all seals and O-rings.
  12. My Starcraft 170C is rated for 115hp and I have a 90hp Yam on it. I can't imagine that the extra hp would really make any difference considering the extra weight.
  13. Now you just have to meet some of the "good" guys from Team 2
  14. That's a nice LM bass there Don. We need one of them hogs for Team 2 once they are in season.
  15. Brian you're going to have to learn how to lay the rod across the back of your neck and rest it on your shoulders. There is a thread by Bigcatch called "fun in the spring" or something like that where there are some good shots of him hoolding the rod and fish.
  16. It needs an OFC flag.
  17. That`s a good add. Sure wouldn`t want a Burmese round house sphincter kick.
  18. My wife made a bowl of Lucky Charms cereal last night and put it in the freezer. When she gave it to our 8 year old this morning he couldn`t pull the spoon out. When he did it came out a a cerealcicle.
  19. Stay away from Magellan. They become outdated very fast. Go with a Lowrance I-finder with colour screen (holds the map chips) or the Garmin.
  20. Wow! How big was it?

  22. Propane Technical Standards and Safety Authority News Release ******************** Toronto - The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) have issued an alert regarding propane cylinder adaptors, designed to transfer propane from a BBQ-type cylinder to a smaller, non-refillable cylinder (typically 1-pound camp-stove bottles), that are being offered to the public via online retailers. These adaptors are illegal in the province of Ontario – as refilling non-refillable cylinders is prohibited by the Propane Storage and Handling Code – and pose safety risks to the public such as serious fires, explosions and burn hazards. Propane cylinders must be filled by weight or volume as specified by the maximum value that is safely permitted by law. Cylinders must also be filled by a TSSA-licensed facility. Transferring propane from a BBQ-type cylinder to a smaller, non-refillable cylinder cannot be safely performed and the practice is illegal in the province of Ontario. The public is warned of this propane cylinder adaptor and the potential safety risks to the user.
  23. I went to Wallmart in North Bay yesterday and a price tag in the fishing rod section caught my attention. It was $119. Not used to seeing "higher end" rods at Wally world so I checked them out. They had the 6' and 6.6' Shimano Compre spinning rods and the 6.6' Compre bait casting rods. I am sure there are better prices for the Compre but was surprise to see them there with all the other $20 - $80 rods.
