  1. Great post Wayne, Today after church I got out to the hut with my wife and 2 boys for a little fishing. My oldest "I'm not much of a fisherman" sat in the hut playing his Nintendo DSi. I told him he can come to the hut or in the boat and play his games any time, as it is about spending time together. I love it when he gets excited about the fish I catch. My little guy who is almost 2 was confined to the hut so as not to kill himself on the glare ice. He was on minnow duty and the perch kept him busy. My wife did a great job holding down the fort. Great family day today and I'll enjoy some more tomorrow.
  2. Nice job Simon, I was out for 2 hours today with the wife and boys. I HAD a pike to enter but it was only a little guy at 18.5". Anyways I upped our panfish by 1 inch.
  3. Good pics Bernie, the hut beside me on Callander Bay was on it's back too. Mine moved (pivoted) off thew 4x4 blocks I had it on and settled into the water. I'll use the chipper and chain saw to lossen it tomorrow and the farm jack to lift it up. Here is where it used to sit. You can see the back end moved a fair bit. Here is a quick pic I took underneath just to see how bad it is in there. Look like an inch of wood plus the runner near the back. I'll get a good work out tomorrow. 2 hours of fishing with the wife, and boys and we caught 10 perch and a pike.
  4. The Long and Winded Road is now a classic.
  5. Glad you got out Lady. Now with the sled fixed you can fish the good spots further from shore.
  6. I wouldn't waste my money there again. 3 perch in 4 days is just a stupid waste of money. On really bad days we can catch 3 perch in a morning or afternoon...but 3 in 4 days????? Were you using minnows? Keep me in the loop when you are up here next and I'll at least take you out one of the days to warrant the trip up here.
  7. Does he have children? I can harass him real good for you if he does?...Ba,ha,ha,hah!
  8. Yes sir. Has to match the gloves.
  9. I was out last night for a couple of hours. For the 1st time this year water came up the hole after I drilled. The weight of the wet snow is pushing down the ice. I might need my speedo this weekend.
  10. Hey Craig.....where's the bikinis????!!!!!!! Boats are cool but bikinis are better.
  11. Welcome to Team 2. Check out the thread and introduce yourself.

  12. I bought the PPP-161 for my HDS5 from Radio World and service was outstanding. Fast and cheap shipping. ****JUst saw Johnnyb's post**** Tremblays in Orillia either has them or can order them for you.
  13. Being Father's Day weekend it is tough for me with young boys to get away for the weekend. I'm only an hour away so I'll try and make it up there for the Friday night. I'll call Kevin about a tent site.
  14. Hey Randy. Nice post. Last year we lost another great Nipissing Guide. Can't remember his name but he was my friend's father (can't remember her maiden name). He was a guide at Dokis Lodge and last year he guided for Itallo and his crew for a show. That was only 3 months before he died. We are going to do a memorial fishing derby for him this year at Glenrock. These men can never be replaced.
  15. My buddy Paul Martel runs Bent Toys here in the North Bay area. I will vouch for him. He can have it purrolated same day. www.btsp.ca (705) 663-1366
  16. Nick, didn't I tell you to use the head lamp? Which hole did it go down? I may try a big magnet I have.
  17. Probably the last post for this thread then we can let it die. I was back out at the hut yesterday from 11:30 - 4:30 and had wayyy too much to drink. I caught 13" walleye and a buddy caught a 22.5" pike. We caught lots of perch but only kept a few for a snack in the hut. No pictures.
  18. That guy is messed up.
  19. It would have been great to have you out there today Matt. We'll hook up sometime.
  20. It was super to meet new board members today. At the GTG was: T.J. Randy From Sturgeon Lady Walleye (Shelley) Rodcaster (Chad) and his girlfriend Sara Spud7378 (Kevin) NAW (Nick) Jocko (Hans) and his friend Harv Rides85 (Andrew) Joeytier (Joey) and his friend (joining the board SOON) and myself It was a great day to be out on the lake and although fishing could have been better the bites were fairly constant through the day. We had a snack of fried fish Randy brought his special friend Joeytier caught the only 2 walleyes of the day. and I tried my best to fish like Limeyangler but only managed herring and perch. Congratulations to NAW who took home $15 for the most fish caught. He also one a free nights accomodations in my hut tonight. He texted me and will have a cell phone picture of the 25" HOG walleye he caught tonight around 10pm. It was released. We never did measure the herring but at the end of the day we figure Jocko's friend Harv caught the biggest one. We had a good pike through the hole but it broke off and went back down. Once again, thanks to all who made it out I had a great day.
  21. Good times. Report and pics to follow shortly. I have to clean the Herring smell off my hands first.
